2024 PSAL Team Camp Showcase Top Performers

On Saturday, June 22, we joined a throng of college coaches in the audience at the Major Owens Center in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn for the 2024 PSAL College Exposure Team Showcase, in which schools from the 2A, 3A and 4A classifications, all came to audition for earning a college uniform. Here are the standouts from the showcase:
Anthony Durant 5-10, Shooting Guard, DeWitt Clinton High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has a penchant for looking for opportunities to score at all times. Is able to create for himself off the dribble and looks for shooting opportunities from three-point range, where he is very effective. Has the ability to hit teammates with passes that can lead to baskets.
Kion Danso 5-10, Point Guard, DeWitt Clinton High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that is a true engine to his team, as he is able to start the offense. Has the ability to control the tempo whenever he has the ball in his hands. Is able to get to the basket efficiently and is a good finisher. Is able to distribute the ball and put teammates in position to score.
Johan Adames 6-4, Forward, DeWitt Clinton High School, Class of 2025 - A forward that is uses his physicality to hold his own on the court. Has a penchant for muscling his way to the basket and is able to draw fouls as a way to get to the free throw line. Is a solid rebounder that will outwork anybody to get to the ball.
Ethan Ostane 6-3, Shooting Guard, Abraham Lincoln High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has the ability to make his presence felt when going to score. Is a player that is truly athletic and is able to drive to the basket and finish efficiently. Is a player that can dish out the ball to his teammates so that they can score.
Jeremiah Swaby 6-4, Shooting Guard, Abraham Lincoln High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that is very strong and has the ability to be versatile, but can also play big when in the post area. Has a penchant for driving to the basket and finishing efficiently. Has the ability to crash the boards for rebounds and will run on the break downcourt.
Dylan Jimenez 5-7, Point Guard, Susan Wagner High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has a penchant for controlling the offense for his team. Is able to see the floor well and is able to find his teammates in order to help them score. Will go to the basket and will take the chance of going up for two.
Connor Sprattley 6-0, Point Guard, Thomas Jefferson Educational Campus, Class of 2025 - A guard that is able to control the tempo of the offense for his team and is a true leader in every way. Is able to see where his teammates are going at all times and will give them opportunities to score. Is able to shoot from the perimeter and is able to drive to the basket and score. Is able to shoot from long range.
Jah’da Swann 6-6, Shooting Guard, Thomas Jefferson Educational Campus, Class of 2026 - A guard that has the ability to use his athleticism to his advantage. Is a player that can obtain rebounds and is able to outwork the opposition when in the post. Has the ability to drive to the basket and is able to finish at the rim. Is able to block shots when on the defensive end.
AbdouAkim Tahirou 6-10, Forward, Thurgood Marshall Academy, Class of 2025 - A forward that is able to dominate on both ends of the court. A player that has great size and plenty of length that aids in him blocking shots and obtaining rebounds. Has the ability to make his presence felt on the offensive end, as he is able to put the ball on the floor and is able to finish at the rim, as well s hit floaters. Has a nice shot from long range.
Ahmad Torrence 6-6, Point Guard, Thurgood Marshall Academy, Class of 2025 - A guard that has plenty of size and has great court vision every time he’s on the court. Is able to make his presence felt when going to the basket and he makes smooth moves when in transition. Is able to see where his teammates are moving, so that he can put them in position to score.
Ka’sim Noble 5-10, Point Guard, Thurgood Marshall Academy, Class of 2025 - A guard that has a penchant for using his quickness on both ends of the court. Has the ability to stick with his man on the defensive end, as he is able to make steals and speed on the other end of the court. Is a player that can drive to the basket and finish efficiently. Is able to draw fouls and get to the free-throw line. Has a penchant for distributing the ball to his teammates.
Alonzo Archbold 6-8, Forward, Curtis High School, Class of 2025 - A forward that is able to go all-out on both ends of the floor. Is able to put the ball on the floor and is able to make his presence felt on the offensive end, as he uses his athleticism when he’s at the rim. Is able to block shots and also obtain rebounds.
Mohamed Bah 6-2, Shooting Guard, Wings Academy, Class of 2025 - A guard that has the ability to use his length and his quickness to his advantage. Is able to move around off the ball in order to anticipate a pass. Is able to finish when at the basket and is able to absorb contact to draw fouls.
Deshawn Carnegie 6-0, Point Guard, Wings Academy, Class of 2026 - A guard that is able to make his presence felt, as he is able to lead his team when he has the ball in his hands. Is able to absorb contact and get to the free-throw line. Is great at distributing the ball and finding his teammates at all times.
Jalen Waters 5-10, Shooting Guard, Brooklyn Collegiate High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has a penchant for making big plays and is one of his team’s key players. Is able to make smooth moves to the basket and is able to finish at the hole efficiently. Has the ability to shoot mid-range jumpers.
Flavio Jean 6-1, Point Guard, Brooklyn Collegiate High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that is able to be an efficient floor general for his team, as he is able to control the tempo for his team. Uses his quickness to his advantage and is known for flying to the basket to score. Is able to find his teammates in certain spots and put them in position to score.
