Brooklyn Collegiate Prep School is a public school established to ensure urban scholars not only have the foundation to succeed in high school, but to gain access to higher education and beyond. They enroll fewer than 400 students in grades 9-12 and maintain an outstanding teacher to student ratio of 11 to 1. Not surprisingly, the school produces outstanding test scores and graduation rates.

Their boys basketball program also similarly overachieves with a consistent history of producing college-bound players. They play in the PSAL Brooklyn AA Division .  Coach Malcolm Connor and his staff’s program has graduated 100% of their players over his nine year tenure, and 42 have go onto play college ball. As profiled below, the 2024-25 roster is more loaded than ever with college prospect talent. Accordingly, they look forward to hosting a number of college coaches at their Open Runs this fall.

Flavio Jean (2025) 6’0 point guard - A four year varsity captain is one of the PSAL’s top returners. He’s a quintessential gritty NYC PG who scores on all three levels. Flavio has the ability to beat defenders off the dribble and take over the game at any time. 3.2 gpa

Jalen Waters (2025) 5’10 point guard - A returning starter. Fast twitch combo guard who can get wherever he wants on the court and stretch the floor with his proficiency from 3. Elite defender. 3.6 gpa

Sheriff Akerele (2025) 6’5 small forward - A tough physical forward with a nice mid-range jumper and the ability to defend multiple positions.

Eamon Meehan (2025) 6’4 shooting guard - 3 and D Wing who’s excellent off the catch and shoot but can also put it on the floor and make plays. 3.4 gpa

Cormac Meehan (2027) 6’2 point guard - At 14 years old he’s one of the youngest varsity players in all of the PSAL. Elite IQ playmaking PG who can make every pass.
