Kellenberg Memorial High 2024-25 Season Preview

Kellenberg Memorial High is a private, independent Catholic school established in 1987. It is located near the middle of Nassau County, Long Island, NY.
The boys varsity basketball team is coached by Christopher Lyons. Coach Lyons played DII collegiate basketball at Molloy College after graduating from Kellenberg Memorial in 2007. He returned to the school in 2013 as an assistant coach to Jack McCutcheon and a Physical Education/Health teacher. He is entering his third season on the sideline as the Head Coach of the program.
Coach Lyon’s roster will be limited by their lack of height this year, but they will look to run and gun and trap all over. They return many players and will look to make a deep run in the NSCHSAA playoffs this year.
Jordan Leach (2025) 6’0 combo guard - Leach is a returning three year varsity starter. He is a physically developed guard capable of taking over games with his scoring and play making. He is at his best off a rebound and run getting into open space. NSCHSAA All League player in 2023-24 who is now looking to put a stamp on his high school career with a big senior season.
Stephen Kiernan (2025) 6’3 guard -Kiernan defends, rebounds, and scores. His is a streaky shooter who spreads defenses. Last year’s team MVP has grown over the summer and filled out his frame. Kiernan will be relied upon in all aspects of the game.
Joseph Burke (2026) 6’3 guard - Burke played a valuable role as a sophomore last year. One of the best shooters not only in the NSCHSAA, but all of Long Island. A continuing growth spurt has him at 6’3, and he spent the summer developing all areas of his game.
Jack Geoghan (2025) 6’3 guard/forward - Geoghan is one of the most athletic players in the NSCHSAA. He plays aggressively to the rim, attacks and rebounds. He guards the opposing team’s best player. 4.0 gpa
Marcus Lambright (2026) 5’10 point guard - Lambright played a limited role last year as a sophomore but will use his experience last year to further develop his role this year.
