This fall college scouts can make their way to the Mamaroneck Open Gym runs where they will see the players profiled below.
Brandon Burrell (2026) 6’1 point guard – Burrell is an excellent 3-point shooter and very skilled passer. He makes good decisions in transition and in the half-court offense. Very coachable, a hard worker and a student of the game. Burrell has everything it takes to play at the next level. Mamaroneck won their most games in a season this past year, one factor for that was the rise of Sophomore guard Brandon Burrell. While he was often the youngest player on the court on most nights, he was frequently the closer and go to player down the stretch of games. All-Section Player as a sophomore. MAJOR sleeper in the 914.
Will Plunkett (2026) 6’3 wing (Binghamton University baseball commit) - Plunkett is a returning starter who averaged 13.2 points per game last season and 9.7 rebounds per game and 4 assists a game as a sophomore. He runs the floor really well, excellent in transition. He can finish in traffic as well as rebound in traffic. Very coachable and is a committed defender. Plunkett will be one of the top players to watch in Section 1 this year.
Elijah Friedman (2025) 5’9 wing – Friedman is a returning starter. 3 and D wing who’s excellent off the catch and shoot but can also put it on the floor and make plays.
Jonah Walsh (2026) 5’10 wing – Walsh is a sharp shooting guard who is always looking for the big shot. Solid defender.
TJ Grimes (2026) 5’11 wing – Grimes is a versatile guard who can defend multiple positions.
