College Achieve Asbury Park is a free education Kindergarten through high school public charter school committed to preparing scholars to excel in and graduate from top colleges. The stated mission is to produce college graduates who will return to their communities to become leaders.


Their boys basketball team has immediately become a dominant team in New Jersey. In April 2023, one of New Jersey’s most decorated active boys basketball coaches, Dave Boff took over the program. Boff is the former Roselle Catholic High coach, and former Bob Hurley assistant at St. Anthony in Jersey City.


Last year the team completely rolled over the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association, Group 1. So for 2024-25, they are competing as an independent and are playing a number of national level prep schools. The team’s 2024-25 game schedule and results can be found here


Their 2024-25 roster is loaded with high level college prospects and is shown below:


Nas Hart (2025) 6’9 wing - Super athlete with huge upside. Hart is currently ranked Top 125 in USA in 2025 Class and holds multiple D1 offers including Seton Hall. Most likely will reclass into 2026.


Daniel Macillinus (2025) 6’11 center - Huge, athletic center with great shot blocking ability and an improving offensive game. Holds multiple D1 offers, including Providence.


Peter Mauro (2025) 5’11 point guard - A pure PG who also has the ability to score the ball. Shoots it well to 3pt line. Holds multiple offers.


Deuce Maxey (2025) 6’2 guard - Skilled guard with a high IQ and ability to score from 3 levels. Currently holds a St Bonaventure offer.


Eric Hillsman (2026) 6’7 guard - Top 75 player in the 2026 Class, skilled lefty with great athleticism and shoots it well to 3. Holds multiple D1 offers, including TCU.

 

Tobe Nwobu (2026) 6’1 guard -Ultra quick guard who excels in transition and can score from all levels. Currently holds a Radford offer.

 

Anthony Mauro (2027) 6’1 guard - Very skilled guard, who facilitates and scores at a high rate, is considered amongst the best guards in 2027. Holds multiple D1 offers, including Mississippi State.

 

Marque Johnson (2028) 6’6 guard - One of the top players in 2028 Johnson is one of the best athletes in the country with an expanding skill set and non-stop motor. Holds multiple D1 offers including Baylor.
