2024 Swoosh Classic Top Performers

On Sunday afternoon, December 15, we showed up at South Shore Educational Campus in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn for the third annual Swoosh Classic, which was presented by Nike. The two boys games featured some of the best boys talent in the Tri-state area. Here are the standouts from both of the games:


Amadou “Hami” Barry 6-2, Point Guard, James Monroe Educational Campus, Class of 2025 - A guard that has the ability to make his presence felt when he is in control of the ball. Is able to get past the opposition and get to the basket with ease. Is always able to dish to his teammates when they’re open or when there is a potential scoring opportunity.


Mohammed Rashid 6-2, Shooting Guard, James Monroe Educational Campus, Class of 2026 - A guard that has the ability to attack in transition. Has the ability to obtain rebounds and get down court in the fast break. Is fearless when it comes to physical contact, as he is able to draw fouls and get to the free-throw line.


Karifala Conde 6-4, Forward, James Monroe Educational Campus, Class of 2026 - A forward that can hold his own on the wing, but establish his presence in the post area, despite his small frame. Is able to absorb physical contact and can draw fouls when going to the basket for two. Likes to put the ball on the floor and is always able to get open and anticipate a pass.


Kaiden Francis 6-8, Forward, South Shore High School, Class of 2026 - A forward that has the ability to use his length to snare rebounds while in the post. Has plenty of athleticism and uses it to his ability when in the post area. Has great hands when he goes to block shots. Is able to muscle his way to the basket.


Nevion Legree 6-5, Shooting Guard, South Shore High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has the ability to make smooth moves to the basket. Is able to draw fouls and get to the free-throw line efficiently. Has a penchant for handling the ball on the perimeter and creating for himself. Has the ability to distribute the ball to his teammates and put them in position to score.


Troy Fason, Jr. 6-0, Point Guard, Lawrence Woodmere Academy, Class of 2026 - A guard that has a penchant for using his quickness to his advantage. Has a knack for finding his teammates when they’re open or when they have potential opportunities to score. Has the ability to beat his man off the dribble and get to the hole.


Caleb Ourigou 6-10, Forward, Lawrence Woodmere Academy, Class of 2026 - A forward that has great hands and is able to be a force in the low post. Has the ability to make great plays on both ends of the court when in the paint area, as he is a great shot blocker and can get offensive rebounds. Is able to be a force in the post, as he is able to maneuver his way to the basket.


Anderson Diaz 6-1, Point Guard, Lawrence Woodmere Academy, Class of 2027 - A guard that has the ability to make his presence felt when on the court in many ways. Has the ability to get past the opposition and get to the basket with ease. Is able to distribute the ball to his teammates when on the break and when they’re open. Is able to shoot from long distance.


Brandon Lee 6-3, Shooting Guard, The Patrick School (NJ) Class of 2025 - A guard that has the ability to hold his own on the court. Is able to make strong drives to the basket and finish efficiently. Has the ability to hit three-pointers and is able to bury a team with his shooting. Is a good defender, as he has the ability to force the opposition into turning over the ball.


Ezekiel Obe, 6-8, Forward,The Patrick School (NJ), Class of 2025 - A forward that has the ability to be a formidable presence in the low post. Has the ability to crash the boards and obtain rebounds. Is a strong presence on the offensive end, as he is able to throw down emphatic dunks and make second-chance layups.
