The Eagles varsity basketball team is coached by third year coach Ryan Woods . They compete in the Brooklyn/Queens AA conference of the CHSAA.

The Eagles 2024-25 key players are profiled below.


Malcolm Ford Jr. (2025) 5’11 point guard - Ford is a do-it-all guard floor general with a lightning quick first step. He can get to the rim with finishing ability can also shoot it with range and is averaging 14 ppg. He is also a tough and strong defender, both on and off the ball.


Jack Clancy (2025) guard - Clancy has unlimited shooting range and playmaking ability. He is a tough hard-nosed rebounder and defender. Coach Woods considers him the heart and soul leader of the team. He is averaging 10 ppg.


Talib Martin (2027) 6’5 small forward 6’5 - Martin is a dynamic offensive player who gets downhill and finishes at a high level. He is a 3 level scorer who is averaging 17 pts a game. Defensively, he is a presence in the paint as a rim protector and is also a strong on ball defender.


Saliou Diokhane (2025) 6’4 small forward - Diokhane is an explosive athlete with a jet quick first step when getting into the paint. He finishes at the rim at a high level and is averaging 17pts a game, using an improved jump shot and free throw shot, that he developed over the summer. Diokhane was named the CHSAA AA Player of the Week for January 7, 2025.


Aidan Schmitt (2025) guard - Schmitt is a tough, hard-nosed defender who does all the dirty work. He guards the other team’s best player. He averages 2.5 steals per game. He is a good playmaker with the ball and can shoot the ball with range.


Nico Parlanti (2026) small forward - Parlanti has a high motor and plays super hard. He does the dirty work and is a solid all around defender. Offensively, he can get downhill and get to the rim.
