2024-25 FCIAC Top Performers

FCIAC, the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference, was established in 1961 and is made up of high schools throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut. Among other things, Fairfield County is a bedroom suburb of New York City whose border starts about 20 miles away from the Bronx. The conference comprises 17 public and parochial high schools and is a subdivision of the statewide Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference association.
The boys basketball division of the FCIAC is always competitive, with an ever-changing picture as to who will win the title in a given year. Below, we profile some of the outstanding performers thus far this season.
Ryan Luchetta (2025) 6’2 shooting guard, Wilton High (CT) - Luchetta is a knockdown shooter who’s having a breakout season for Wilton. Five games into this season, he is averaging an impressive 23.2 ppg. He is a three level scorer who is overall very skilled and has great IQ. Plays AAU with Rens United.
Ryan Moore (2025) 6’2 shooting guard, Fairfield Warde High (CT) - (Suffolk University commit) Moore is a pure shooter who can catch and shoot and heat up quickly. He has the ability to get to the rim and finish through contact in transition. He is a scorer who been the go-to player for Fairfield Warde. Already a college-bound player, we expect a further breakout season for Moore. Plays AAU with Academic Basketball Club. 3.5 gpa
Joshua Stewart-Jones (2025) 6’1 point guard, Fairfield Warde High (CT) - Stewart-Jones is a scrappy guard who does it all, including shooting it well from three. He is rebounding well this season from the guard position, including grabbing seven rebounds vs St. Joes while dishing out 4 assists. He is a lead guard who looks to get his teammates involved and is also an impact player on defense.
Josh Wallace (2025) 6’0 point guard, Weston High (CT) - Wallace is a fast and crafty guard who scraps and plays hard. He is a great shooter who can knockdown open shots. He is also a true leader for his team and a lockdown defender who’s been phenomenal on the defensive end this season getting an average of 2 steals per game. Plays AAU with Academic Basketball Club. 3.9 gpa
Jaden Tuhaise (2026) 5’8 guard, Trumbull High School - Tuhaise is a very fast and explosive guard who has the ability to score around the rim as well as knocking a shot down when left open. He is an above average on ball defender and will make the other team’s guards work to bring the ball up the court. He always is ready to help and take a charge. His hands are always active, deflecting passes and getting in the ball handler’s pocket. Jaden also has great passing ability allowing him to make reads and give the ball to his teammates when needed. Overall, Jaden is a very talented player and as he continues to grow on the court he will be a very good player at the next level.
Sam Clachko (2026) 5’11 guard, Staples High (CT) - Clachko is a pure scorer and shooter, currently averaging 22.9 ppg. He’s averaging 39% from beyond the arc, showing his lethal catch-n-shoot from deep talent. He is also a great scorer in transition, getting downhill for mid-range pull-ups or finishing through contact. Plays AAU with NY Rens.
TJ Wright (2025) 5’11 point guard, St Joseph High (CT) - Wright is a fast and shifty guard with a quick first step. He is unstoppable in transition due to his speed and change of direction. With his quickness and three point pull up shooting skills, he is a three level scorer. He also leads his team with high IQ decision making. Plays AAU with Rens United.
Jayden Febus (2026) 5’9 guard, St Joseph High (CT) - Febus is a scoring guard and a great shooter with a quick release and extended range. He can also facilitate the scoring of his teammates with his playmaking abilities.
Ryan Connors (2025) 6’4 small forward, Stamford High (CT) - Connors is a very strong catch-n-shoot player from deep. He is a highly athletic small forward who likes to get out and run in transition. He can both finish above the rim or pull up for the mid-range jump shot. Thus far this season, he is averaging 18 ppg, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Plays AAU with PHD Basketball. 3.9 gpa
Jordan Sutton (2027) 6’9 forward, Stamford High (CT) - Sutton is a skilled and beastly big in the paint. He finishes above the rim, grabs rebounds and blocks shots. Already has great footwork as a sophomore, he has great upside and is expected to develop that potential. Plays AAU with the Riverside Hawks.
Liam McKiernan (2025) 6’2 shooting guard, Wilton High (CT) - McKiernan is a high level shooter who has consistently opened up the floor for Wilton this season. A versatile scorer who can get hot quick and knock threes down in bunches.
Chris Rende (2026) Trumbull High (CT) 6’4 small forward - Rende is a very fundamental forward. He always puts his teammates first and will do what it takes to get them open. He has the ability to score in the low post and knock down a mid range jump shot when needed. He is very physical on both sides of the court. Rende sets excellent screens and crashes the glass on offense and defense. As Rende continues to develop his skills, he will be a great asset at the next level. Plays AAU with DTX Basketball. 3.7 gpa
Hassan Powell (2025) 5’10 point guard, Harding High (CT) - This lighting quick guard can score in bunches and is a great shooter from beyond the arc. He also attacks the rim fearlessly, finishing through contact. On the defensive end, he’s a lockdown defender who plays hard and very aggressive.
Dphilan Lowman (2027) 6’2 shooting guard, Staples High (CT) - Lowan is a sharpshooting guard with a quick and consistent shot who can get hot in a hurry. He is able to shoot over smaller defenders. With his quick release, he needs no time to get his catch-n-shoot shots off. This was evident earlier this season when he exploded for six 3 pointers against Xavier High.
Sean Wilson (2026) Trumbull High School C/O 2026, is a 6’2” guard who has the ability to score at all three levels as well as the ability to pass at a high level. He possesses a very strong left hand, but continually working on his right hand, defenders will not be able to force him left or right which will make him very hard to guard. Being able to score consistently at all three levels allows him to utilize mismatches when they come his way. If a smaller guard switches onto Sean he can score in the post or if a bigger player switches onto Sean he can pull it out and knock down a jump shot or attack the basket using his strength and speed. Sean is also a very valuable asset on the defensive side of the floor. With his size, he can guard a quicker guard or a stronger post player. Wilson will continue to grow over the next year and will be a star at the next level.
Alex Roth (2026) 6’0 guard, Trumbull High (CT) - Roth is a strong two guard who shoots at a very high percentage. He has the ability to shoot the three at a very high rate and also shoot the midrange at a high rate. He has a shooter mentality and will always take the next shot, no matter if his last one was a miss or make. When needed, he can attack the basket both left and right and finish strong at the rim. Roth has a very high basketball IQ as well. On the defensive side of the floor, he is able to guard smaller, quicker guards as well as stronger players.
Joe Fitzpatrick (2026) 5’10 point guard, Fairfield Warde High (CT) -Fitzpatrick is a knock down three point shooter who can attack the basket on high close outs. He is very crafty when he attacks the basket whether that is making a move around his defender or stopping and shooting a floater. He is strong and is not afraid to take a charge or attack a bigger player. Fitzpatrick has an excellent motor which allows him to never stop moving on offense, always looking to come off screens. He is a great teammate on and off the court. He is continuing to improve his on-ball defense as he needs to be able to guard the ball at the next level. Fitz will continue to improve his game and will be a great asset to a team at the collegiate level. Plays AAU with DTX Basketball.
Ryan Tully (2026) 6’1 guard, Fairfield Warde High (CT) - Tully is a combo guard who is able knock down shots from beyond the arc at a high rate. He can shoot from anywhere on the court and when needed, he can attack the basket and use his size to finish strong at the rim. Tully has great court vision and moves without the basketball at an exceptional rate. He is never standing around on offense. He is moving coming off screens or attacking the glass. Tully uses his long wingspan to his advantage as he gets in the passing lanes and deflects passes. He also is not afraid to step in front of a player bigger than him and take a charge. Tully ability to shoot the three ball and use his size to his advantage will be a great attribute to a team at the next level.
Trenton Frasier (2025) 6’3 guard, Danbury High (CT) - Frasier is a strong and physical guard with good size. He has the ability to guard multiple positions, rebounds at both ends and communicates on defense. Trenton has a skill set that lets him score at all three levels. He can get to the basket, has a midrange and will knock it down from behind the arc. Frasier is a double-double threat that will guard the opponent’s best player.
Ryan Lamothe (2026) Trumbull High -Lamothe is a player every coach wants on their team. He can play both guard and forward. He is a tough, scrappy player who is not afraid to get on the floor, crash the boards hard, or knock a three down when he is open. He does all the little plays, most players would not do. He sets great screens, crashes the offensive and defensive class, and always puts his teammates first. His defense is a crucial part of his game while he can guard positions one through five. He is always willing to guard the other teams’ best player. When left open, he can knock down a three or attack the basket and finish strong. When not on the court, Lamothe’s energy on the bench is always excellent and is always cheering for his teammates. Plays AAU with DTX Basketball.
Khalil Tolliver-Van Wright (2025) 6’3 guard Danbury High (CT) - Tolliver-Van Wright has returned from injury and made an immediate impact in two FCIAC games. In limited minutes he had 8 points and 8 rebounds in a win against Westhill. In his second game back, he pulled down 9 rebounds and added 14 points in a loss to McMahon. Fully healthy, Kahlil is an elite rebounder that can also put the ball in the basket. plays AAU with Athletic Club Connecticut.
