Below, we detail his recap of a couple of the college level potential point guards from this past season.

 

Cam Upchurch (2025) 6’1 point guard, Jonathon Law High (CT) - Upchurch is a savvy and explosive point guard known for his remarkable jumping ability and athletic prowess. Upchurch effortlessly penetrates the lane with an unguardable spin move, finishing strong at the rim. He excels in catch-and-shoot situations, making him a versatile scoring threat from multiple ranges. His speed and agility place immense pressure on opposing defenses, particularly in transition, where he thrives.


Jordan Pierce (2025) 6’1 point guard, Bunnell High (CT) - (Southern Connecticut State football commit) - Pierce is a cerebral and talented point guard known for his scoring ability, playmaking skills, and overall basketball IQ. He has a natural scoring touch and strength, enabling him to score from multiple areas on the court. He is proficient in his mid-range shot and possesses great ball-handling skills, allowing him to create his own shot and navigate through defenses effectively. His ability to change speeds and directions helps him get to the basket.

 

Josh Wallace (2025) 6’0 point guard, Weston High (CT) is a smart and stocky point guard who excels at attacking the basket, finishing through contact or with his high floater. His ability to knock down long-range shots makes him a significant threat to opposing defenses. He plays with a high motor and immense passion, and with his unique blend of skills, he can change the game, shifting momentum and creating scoring opportunities in an instant. He demonstrates a high understanding of the game.

 

Travis Upchurch (2025) 6’0 point guard, Bridgeport Prep (CT) - Upchurch just completed a successful season as the floor general for Bridgeport at the highest level of college prep ball. He is an intelligent and highly regarded point guard known for his ability to score off the dribble and excel at finishing around the rim with both hands. He possesses excellent court vision and passing skills, allowing him to create opportunities for teammates. His ability to drive and kick or find open players is one of his standout traits. Moreover, his smart decision-making with the ball, along with his quick first step and agility, makes him a nightmare for defenders.


TJ Wright (2025) 6’0 point guard, Bridgeport Prep (CT) - Wright is a smart and talented point guard known for his dynamic scoring ability, quickness, and potential as a playmaker. He possesses a versatile scoring skill set, capable of finishing at the rim with finesse. His ability to create his own shot is a significant asset. Wright’s speed allows him to push the pace in transition and blow by defenders in open court. He can effectively change speeds and directions, keeping defenders off balance.
