2025 DTX Blue 17u Team Player Profiles

DTX Basketball is a Connecticut based grass roots program that has over the years become a deep source of college prospects. The program is run by Dave Taylor, with assistance from college placement guru, Noel Roman. The program runs its practices out of the three court, InSports Center facility in Trumbull.

 

They run multiple high school-aged teams, the following players are on their Blue team that competes on the Zero Gravity XL circuit this season.

 

Aidan Arnaud (2026) 6’0 guard, Trumbull High (CT) - Arnaud is a versatile guard known for his scoring ability at all three levels—driving to the basket, mid-range jumpers, and three-point shots. He also demonstrates strong playmaking skills, setting up teammates for high-percentage opportunities.


Eli Shartouni (2028) 6’2 guard, Ridgefield High (CT) - Shartouni is a physical and coachable shooting guard who excels both on the court and academically. He is a high-level catch-and-shoot threat and keeps defenders off balance with his ability to pull up or attack the rim. His athleticism makes him elite in transition, and he brings toughness and grit on defense. 


Javier Perez (2028) 6’0 guard, Woodland Regional High School (CT) - Perez is a versatile guard who thrives off the ball, utilizing screens and cuts to create scoring opportunities. His solid basketball IQ allows him to make smart reads and facilitate for teammates. His size and physicality enable him to contribute defensively and play a bigger role when needed.  3.5 gpa


Alex Rende (2027) 5’11 point guard, Trumbull High (CT) - Rende is a skilled guard with a high basketball IQ and a well-rounded game. He is a reliable sharpshooter, especially effective in catch-and-shoot three-point situations, and has a great feel for reading defenses and making smart plays. He consistently finds open teammates and makes the right passes, while also having the ability to drive and finish through contact. Defensively, Alex uses his instincts and effort to make an impact. 


Chris Rende (2026) 6’4 small forward, Trumbull High (CT) - Rende is a fundamental forward who brings a physical and athletic presence to the court. He is team-oriented, setting excellent screens and crashing the glass on both ends. Offensively, he has the ability to score in the low post and knock down mid-range jump shots. As he continues to develop his skills, he shows significant upside and strong potential to thrive at the collegiate level. 

 

Dominick Buck (2027) 5’10 point guard, Trumbull High (CT) - Buck is a left-handed point guard who thrives in high-tempo situations and brings relentless energy to both ends of the floor. Defensively, he excels at pressuring ball handlers and forcing turnovers. Offensively, he is a true three-level scorer with the ability to create his own shot and facilitate for teammates. His high basketball IQ allows him to make smart decisions and impact the game in multiple ways. 


Isaac Dane (2027) 6’0 guard, Trumbull High School (CT) - Dane is a high-IQ guard and sharpshooter who is confident in his scoring abilities from deep and can attack the basket when needed. Defensively, he is versatile and capable of guarding multiple positions due to his strength and awareness. He is also a selfless teammate with excellent court vision, consistently finding the open man and making smart, efficient plays. 


Joshua Reed (2026) 5’10 point guard, St. Joseph High (CT) - Reed is a driven student-athlete who brings passion and creativity both on and off the court. He plays with confidence, consistently looking to make the right play while holding himself to a high standard of performance. Whether through his energy on defense or his ability to contribute offensively, Reed’s mindset and work ethic stand out. 


Saijon Gavin (2026) 6’3, 175lb guard, Masuk High (CT) - Gavin is a versatile and high-energy player who impacts the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, thrives at attacking the basket and creating opportunities for his teammates with smart, timely passes. Defensively, he takes pride in guarding multiple positions—whether it’s protecting the paint or stepping out to defend the perimeter. Rebounds aggressively, look for chances to block shots, and consistently bring hustle and intensity to every possession. 4.2 gpa
