St. Edmund Preparatory High School is a Roman Catholic college preparatory school for young men and women based in Brooklyn. Their varsity basketball team competes in the New York City Catholic High School Athletic Association’s A North Division.

In his 20th year at the helm, Head Coach Dan Wiatre will be coming off of another strong season, where his guys went 19-7 in 2024-25.

Below are the profiles of some of the players Coach Wiatre will be counting on next season.

Dylan Tasso (2026) 6’3 wing - Tasso is a lefty 2 way player that competes at the defensive end and slashes his way to the basket on offense. He averaged 7ppg as a junior. 3.6 gpa

Dylan Gallagher (2026) 6’1 guard - Gallagher has grown 7 inches over the past three years. He is wired to score from the guard position. He will no doubt exceed the 6ppg average that he put up as a junior. 3.3 gpa

Tristian Lewis (2027) 6’1 point guard - As a junior, he’ll be entering his third year on the varsity.  He was All CHSAA this past season. He averaged 12.5ppg. He has an excellent handle and DEEP shooting range.

Kenyatta Wilkinson (2027) 6’4 small forward - Wilkinson is a lefty, explosive leaper and has added the 3 point shot to his skill set. He averaged 9ppg this past winter. Expect a breakout season from him as a junior.  3.7 gpa

Kalel Green (2028) 5’8 point guard - Green is a quick and fast lefty who pressures the ball 94 feet. He does a little bit of everything on both ends and his handle and pull up are excellent. He averaged 22ppg this past season on the freshmen team and now will make the jump to the varsity level.

Danny Schmitt (2028) 5’10 guard - Schmitt is yet another lefty that will contribute for St Edmund in 2025-26. He is a knockdown shooter from deep and an excellent passer with court vision. He averaged 12ppg this season on the freshmen team.
