Head Coach: Gary Ervin 6th Season

 

Joel Barnaby-Alexander (2026) 6’6 guard - What does Barnaby-Alexander not do? He is a high IQ guard. He selflessly gets to the paint, and then plays off two feet,in order to kick it to the help defender’s man without hesitation. He is realizing what an asset it is to be 6’6 with great guard skills. Barnaby-Alexander rebounds with determination and has the ability to push the break and make plays in transition. His passing keeps everyone honest and allows him to get in a grove offensively. He can finish with either hand around the rim, and he knocks down shots all over the floor. Plays grassroots ball with New Heights. 3.1 gpa

 

Jayden Blakemore (2026) 6’2 guard - Blakemore is projected by his coach to be one of the biggest surprises in the CHSAA this winter. He is one of the best shooters in the city and can score at all 3 levels.

 

Justin Delgado (2026) 6’5 small forward - 2024-25 CHSAA AA Third Team. Delgado is an athletic forward known for his impressive leaping ability and powerful dunks. His mobility on the court allows him to cover ground quickly and be a constant threat in transition. His agility and explosiveness make him a dynamic presence in both offensive and defensive plays. Delgado’s physical prowess and energy make him a key asset in creating momentum and making impactful plays. Plays grassroots ball with New Heights.

 

Amar ‘AJ’ Moody (2026) 5’11 point guard - Moody possesses a quick first step that allows him to blow by defenders and create scoring opportunities. As a high-IQ point guard, he excels in making smart decisions and reading the game effectively. His ability to draw defenders and kick out to open teammates enhances his team’s offensive versatility. Moody’s combination of speed and strategic vision makes him a crucial playmaker and facilitator on the court. Plays grassroots ball with New Heights.

 

Exzavia Robertson (2026) 6’2 guard - A tough combo guard with a deceptively quick first step. He is able to blow by defenders with ease and uses his long arms and strong frame to lock up opposing guards. Plays grassroots ball with CM3 Elite.


Troy Smith Jr. (2026) 6’0 guard - Smith is a crafty scoring guard, who gets it done at all 3 levels. Plays grassroots ball with Select Hoops.

 

Tyreese Emmanuel (2027) point guard - Emmanuel is quick and athletic and very good at getting his shot. Plays grassroots ball with New Heights.

 

Isaiah Ross (2027) 5’7 point guard - Ross is shifty and uses his low center of gravity and quickness as an advantage, as he is able to get his teammates the ball in various moments. He attacks in transition and can get downcourt efficiently. He also has plenty of awareness when patrolling his team and is a great decision maker.


Zion Austin (2028) 6’5 small forward - Austin is a talent with all of the tools to be really good and have a bright future. Plays like an old man in controlling the pace and letting the game come to him. He finds the opportunity then makes really good passes.  He can both hit his jumper and score in the paint.

 

Enmanuel Valero Melo (2028) 6’6 small forward - Melo is on a path that should lead him to being a special, as in high major, talent. Offered by LaSalle University as a freshman. Plays grassroots ball with New Heights.

 

 

 

 

Regis School
Head Coach: Kevin Cullen - 25th season

 

Caleb Garutti (2026) 6’3 small forward - 2024-25 CHSAA B All League Team. Garutti averaged a double-double last season with 17+ ppg, 10 rpg, 3 apg, 2 spg. He was a key piece of the CHSAA City Finalist Regis Raiders last winter. He is a leader on both ends, a 3-point shooter with a solid mid-range and strong drive to the rim. He prioritizes defense, rebounding, and ball movement for the benefit of the team. He is a hustler with grit and determination to work hard.  Garutti’s stock over the spring kept rising with serious interest from U of Chicago, Middlebury, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Gettysburg, Catholic University, NYU, Denison, and Bard. A school is going to get a program foundation type of guy. Plays grassroots ball with Riverside Hawks Select.  3.8 gpa 1470 SAT

 

Dilan Karim (2027) 5’11 point guard - 2024-25 CHSAA B All League Team as a sophomore. Karim shoots the 3 ball well…and under pressure. gets open with his off-ball movement and then uses his efficient shooting mechanics as a spot-up shooter. He is also an opportunistic slasher, who takes advantage of reckless closeouts by the defense. Plays grassroots ball with Kips Bay Athletics. 3.8 gpa

 

 

 

 


St Edmund Preparatory School
Head Coach: Dan Wiatre - 20th season

 

Dylan Gallagher (2026) 6’1 guard - Gallagher has grown 7 inches over the past three years. He is wired to score from the guard position. He will no doubt exceed the 6ppg average that he put up as a junior. 3.3 gpa

 

Dylan Tasso (2026) 6’3 guard - Tasso is a lefty 2 way player that competes at the defensive end and slashes his way to the basket on offense. He averaged 7ppg as a junior. 3.6 gpa

 

Tristan Lewis (2027) 6’1 guard - As a junior, he’ll be entering his third year on the varsity.  He was All CHSAA this past season. He averaged 12.5ppg. He has an excellent handle and deep shooting range.

 

Kenyatta Wilkinson (2027) 6’4 small forward - Wilkinson is a lefty, explosive leaper and has added the 3 point shot to his skill set. He averaged 9ppg this past winter. Expect a breakout season from him as a junior.  3.7 gpa

 

Kalel Green (2028) 5’8 point guard - Green is a quick and fast lefty who pressures the ball 94 feet. He does a little bit of everything on both ends and his handle and pull up are excellent. He averaged 22ppg this past season on the freshmen team and now will make the jump to the varsity level.

 

Danny Schmitt (2028) 5’10 guard - Schmitt is yet another lefty that will contribute for St Edmund in 2025-26. He is a knockdown shooter from deep and an excellent passer with court vision. He averaged 12ppg this season on the freshmen team.

 

 

 


St. Francis Prep School
Head Coach: Jimmy Lynch - 9th Season

 

Ethan Butler (2026) 6’6 small forward – Butler had a terrific spring and summer, including picking up an offer from Manhattan. He can shoot the 3 and has a nose for the ball. He runs the floor hard and is improving every day. Coach Lynch predicts him having a breakout season ahead.


Oesoemana Sacko (2026) 6’8 power forward – Sacko is a major talent He does everything, shoots the 3, rebounds and blocks shots. He recorded multiple double-doubles during an All City season a year ago. He holds offers from Manhattan, Marist, LIU, Florida International, Old Dominion, Mississippi State, with many more to come.


Cory Ballard (2026) 5’11 point guard – Ballard was the starting point guard on a solid JV team a year ago. He can defend and should see minutes this winter.


Lawrence Hailes (2026) 5’11 guard – Hailes played JV last season and is a terrific athlete.


Jack Leary (2026) 5’8 guard – Leary is quarterback of the SFP football team. He can shoot the 3 well. High academic.


Justin DeSena (2028) 6’3 guard – DeSena is only a frosh but will complement the backcourt of Fason and Anthony with his ability to shoot the three. He has a varsity ready body. High academic

 

 

 


St John’s Preparatory School
Head Coach: John Kiggins - 8th Season

 

Da’Quan Bryant (2026) 5’9 point guard - 2024-25 NY State Sports Writers Association All State Class AA, Second Team. Bryant has quickness and court vision. He runs the offense smoothly and can gets past the opposition to get to the hole. He also distributes the ball well to his teammates so that they can score. Plays grassroots ball with Kips Bay Mustangs.


Ryan Edwards (2026) 6’3 shooting guard - Edwards is an off-guard with size, athleticism, and a good basketball IQ. He can score, rebound, defend multiple positions, and knows how to impact the game. He should be pulling college interest, especially with his potential at the next level. NYCHoops.net thinks he is probably the most underrated recruit in the A Division.


Kawan Tucker (2027) 6’3 guard - A guard that has plenty of length and can also play multiple positions. He attacks in transition and is also a good finisher when going to the basket.

 

 

 

 


St Joseph’s By the Sea High

Head Coach: Michael Cortese - 14th Season

 

Nick Rebracca (2027) 6’5 guard - 2024-25 All CHSAA A Division Team as a sophomore. Rebracca has steadily cultivated a two-way presence as a big guard. He’s become an instinctive defender who sets a loud tone with his outside shooting. With range and readiness, Rebracca is a pure shooter who spreads the floor out. He’s able to score it in a variety of ways and via the mid-range. Rebracca can pile up points without hunting for his shot or requiring a high volume with his shot selection. He’s a difficult matchup with his ability to quickly get his feet set and fire in from downtown. Plays grassroots ball with the Jersey Force.  3.9 gpa

 

 

 


St. Peter’s High
Head Coach: Ryan Woods - 4th Season


Dennis Corson (2026) 5’7 point guard - Corson is fast and quick, with a solid handle.  Excellent on-ball defender, and he uses quickness and toughness to shoot gaps for steals and deflections.  He has the ability to finish at the rim and in the paint with floaters.  Improved perimeter shooting. 3.6 gpa


Nico Parlanti (2026) 6’3 wing - Parlanti is tough, active and athletic. He played significant minutes as 6th man as a junior.  He has ability to finish strong at the rim and finish in transition. He has improved his outside shooting and consistency from 3. Parlanti is a tough on-ball defender, will be a significant contributor this season. Has received significant D3 interest. 3.8 gpa   Video highlights


Adem Djonbalic (2026) 6’2 wing - Djonbalic is a knock down 3-point shooter, with a quick release.  He shoots it consistently with range.  He also makes the right read and pass when put in a playmaking position. 3.8 gpa


Talib Martin (2027) 6’5 guard - Martin is a highly touted prospect, coming off a breakout sophomore season where he averaged 17 points and 6 rebounds per game.  He is an explosive athlete, who can finish above the rim in the half court and in transition. Excellent defender with toughness and length, ability to block shots at the rim.  He continues to improve his perimeter shooting and ability to shoot off the dribble. Has received D1 offers from Merrimack and Iona and has garnered significant other D1 interest including Cornell, NJIT and George Mason. Plays grassroots ball with New Heights-3SSB.  3.8 gpa


Aaron Vazquez (2027) forward - A big, strong and physical player.  He is excellent around the rim with both hands.  He is a high-volume rebounder on both ends, with a great knack for the ball.  He is a strong post defender and will be a significant contributor for SFP this season. 3.7 gpa

Sean Gannon (2027) wing - Gannon is athletic and active.  He has a great feel for the game and is unselfish, tough and physical.  He is av ery good rebounder for his size.  Gannon makes plays in both the half court and in transition.  He has the ability to finish at the rim with either hand. 3.9 gpa

 

 

 


St. Raymond High
Head Coach: Jorge Lopez - 14th Season


Najay Bess (2026) 6’5 guard - Bess is a big guard playmaker. He is able to get to the basket with ease and can attack in transition. He gets his shot off efficiently, especially when it is a midrange jumper. Bess has a great defensive presence, and he generates steals. Plays grassroots ball with Riverside Hawks.


Ibrahima Camara (2026) 6’8 forward - Camara defends the paint and rebounds with toughness and athleticism. Offensively he has great footwork in the post with an assortment of post moves. Plays grassroots ball with Castle Athletics.


Luis Carrillo Moss (2026) 6’8 forward - Moss was an unique threat during the 2025 City title game. 6He is a mismatch and floor spreader. He often erupts multiple timely 3-pointers. He also crashes the lane and can operate in the back-to-the-basket and face up post game. He guards the rim well. Plays grassroots ball with Wiz Kids.


Hassan Cisse (2026) 6’3 guard - Cisse is shifty, crafty and hard driving. He can also step out and fire in the 3. He plays with boundless energy defensively and is a defensive weapon against opposing guards. Plays grassroots ball with Kips Bay Mustangs.

 

Jomar Fuentes (2026) 6’1 shooting guard - Fuentes is a sharpshooter who poses a constant threat from beyond the arc. His exceptional ability to spot up and shoot with precision can dismantle any zone defense. He not only contributes offensively but also shows his versatility by crashing the boards. He is particularly deadly from the corners, and his smooth handle allows him to transition effortlessly into his mid-range jumper. Reliable and consistent, Fuentes’ offensive capabilities make him a key player, always ready to step up and deliver when needed. Plays grassroots ball with Rens United. 3.0 gpa

 

Elvis Crespo (2026) 6’7 forward - Crespo has size and improves his team’s interior defense. He provides energy and competes on the court.

 

Baker Aaron Jimenez (2027) 6’3 2024 All Gym Rat 10th Grade First Team.

 

Jacob Dyson (2027) 6’6 power forward - The Ravens are developing another gem in Dyson. He’s got great touch and well-developed post moves. He hits contested shots and knows how to produce.

 

Zaire ‘ZaZa’ Johnson (2027) 5’9 point guard - Has been offered by Fairleigh Dickinson. Plays grassroots ball with Kips Bay Mustangs.


Zerek Johnson (2027) 6’4 small forward - 2024 HG Academic Elite Camp All Star

 

Elijah Espada (2028) 6’2 guard - Espada is a dominant force on the offensive end. He has eite shot-making ability from the midrange, and inside. He plays with a very smooth pace and good confidence. Plays grassroots ball with Castle Athletics.

 

 

 


Xaverian High
Head Coach: Clyde Chapman- 8th Season

 

Christian Hinestroza (2026) 6’1 guard - Hinestroza is a 2 guard that has a good feel for the game. He can create for himself and others. He rebounds well for his size. Plays grassroots ball with Eddie Lau Academy.  Video highlights

 

Terrence Belizaire (2027) 6’5 small forward - A high-motor two-guard with elite physical tools and a bright future. Belizaire can score at all three levels, defend top matchups, and lead through impact. One of the top rising prospects in the program. Plays grassroots ball with Team NYC Puma.
