2026 Shooting Stars Showcase Standouts

On Sunday, we joined the crowd at St. Francis Prep High in the Fresh Meadows section of Queens for the 11th annual Shooting Stars Showcase. The event always features a good mix of schools from two of New York City’s most prominent leagues in the CHSAA and the PSAL, and also teams from New Jersey, as well as prep school teams from New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut. In the event, there were plenty of hidden and high profile gems in the building. Below are the standouts from the games that caught our eye:
Aaron Tutt 5-11, Point Guard, Forest Hills High School, Class of 2028 - A guard that is fast and energetic when he’s on the court. Is able to play strong defense and can obtain steals when the opportunity presents itself. Has a penchant for driving to the basket and can also shoot floaters or mid-range jumpers. Is able to distribute the ball tot his teammates and out them in position to score.
Chase Bray, 5-10, Point Guard, Roselle Catholic High School (NJ), Class of 2028 - A guard that has the ability to be a true playmaker when on the court. Has the ability to make his presence felt on the court with his scoring. Is a dead-eye shooter from three-point range. Is able to move well when off the ball and is able to find ways to get open when on the wing, so that he can get the ball and catch and shoot. Is a solid distributor, as he is able to give the ball to his teammates and put them in position to score.
Jordan Ghee 6-4, Shooting Guard, Hotchkiss School, Class of 2026 - A guard that has the ability to make his impact on the court in a variety of ways, as he is able to put the ball on the floor and drive when on the offensive end. Has a penchant on getting to the basket and shows a lot of athleticism when going to the hole and is able to get to the basket with ease. Has a nice shooting touch from three-point range.
Milos Vasic 6-8, Forward, Hotchkiss School, Class of 2026 - A forward that has the ability to make his presence felt with his versatility and is very skilled on the offensive end. Has a nice shooting touch, as he likes to shoot pull-up jumpers. Is a solid rebounder and has a penchant for putting the ball on the floor and running on the fast break.
Kamryn Salters 6-4, Shooting Guard, Knox School, Class of 2026 - A guard that is a very physical specimen and possesses plenty of athleticism when on the court. Is a player that has the ability to crash the boards for rebounds and then take off on a fast break. Has a penchant for driving to the basket and finishing at the basket. Has a nice release on his jumper, which he shoots from either mid-range or three.
Jaen Chatman 6-1, Shooting Guard, Blair Academy (NJ), Class of 2026 - A guard that has the ability to be a playmaker and also make explosive plays when going to the basket. Has the ability to find ways to get open on the perimeter and can get open from the wing and can get his shot off. Is able to drive to the basket and is a great finisher. Has the ability to set teammates up for scoring opportunities. Holds multiple D1 offers, including Boston College, UMass and Hofstra.
Darren Moore 6-2, Point Guard, Northfield Mount Hermon School (MA), Class of 2026 - A guard that has excellent court vision and is also a great defender when the opportunity presents itself. Is very fearless when going to the basket and will take any chance he gets when on the offensive end to make an impact. Is a great distributor, as he is able to make sure that his teammates are in position to score.
William Brunson 6-5, Forward, Rutgers Preparatory School (NJ), Class of 2028 - A forward that is skilled and can do many things on both ends of the floor. Has plenty of athletic prowess and is able to drive to the basket at will and finish at the rim. Is able to get his shot off when the opportunity arises.
Oesoemana Sacko 6-8, Forward, St. Francis Prep High School, Class of 2026 (Fairfield University commit) - A forward that is versatile and is a presence in various areas on both ends of the court. Has the ability to be a constant presence on the boards, as he is able to outmaneuver the opposition due to his physicality. Is able to put the ball on the floor and can attack in transition and drive to the basket. Has a nice shooting touch from the mid-range area.
Elijah Murray 6-6, Shooting Guard, St. Francis Prep High School, Class of 2029 - A guard that brings plenty of energy and is able to hold his own against smaller players at his position. Has plenty of athleticism and is able to drive and finish at the basket efficiently. Has a knack for chasing down loose balls and crashing the boards for rebounds. Is a good shooter from three-point range.
Carter Prizzi 6-9, Forward, St. Francis Prep High School, Class of 2027 - A forward that has plenty of size and is able to hold his own, due to his length. Is able to crash the boards for rebounds and is able to finish efficiently at the rim. Has a penchant for driving to the basket and has excellent footwork. Is known for also distributing the ball to his teammates and making sure that they obtain scoring opportunities.
JJ Addison 6-6, Shooting Guard, Wings Academy, Class of 2026 - A guard that has the ability to be a leader for his team and is a player that has a great skill set. Has the ability to hit mid-range jumpers and can create for himself off the dribble. Is able to finish in traffic and is fearless when going to the basket for two.
