2026 Crusader Classic Top Performers

On Saturday, January 31, we paid a visit to the Throggs Neck section of The Bronx for the annual Crusader Classic Invitational, which took place at Monsignor Scanlan High School. Although there were several games that took place on that date, we caught the final two games, as Queens’ own Forest Hills of the PSAL’s AAAA division took on one of the CIAC’s finest teams in Notre Dame Prep out of Fairfield, Connecticut in the second to last game of the night. In the finale, the host team, Monsignor Scanlan played against one of Long Island’s most prominent private school programs in the Stony Brook School. All in all, it was a great two games to finish off a successful event. Here are the standouts from both games:

 

Aaron Tutt 5-11, Point Guard, Forest Hills High, Class of 2028 - A guard that is able to control the game in many facets. Is a solid playmaker that is able to distribute the ball to his teammates and put them in position to score. Is also known for scoring in bunches, as he is able to get his shot off efficiently and get to the basket with ease.

 

Miles Dulin 6-1, Shooting Guard, Forest Hills High, Class of 2028 - A guard that has the ability to get score in bunches and how he is able to create for himself offensively. Is able to find ways to et open so that he can get his shot off. Is able to flash to the basket and finish efficiently.

 

Pregnon Titi 6-4, Forward, Forest Hills High, Class of 2026 - A forward that is undersized and able to hold his own in the low-post area. Is a very athletic player that can finish when going up for a basket. Has great footwork and is able to drive when going to the hole. Is able to attack the glass and obtain rebounds.

 

Josh Charlot 5-9, Notre Dame Preparatory School, Class of 2027 - A guard that has plenty of quickness and has a penchant for getting his teammates involved in the flow of the game. Is able to drive to the basket and finish efficiently. Has a nice jumper, as he can shoot from the perimeter. Is a great defensive player that is able to pick apart the opposition when it comes to obtaining steals.

 

Kieran Blake 6-2, Shooting Guard, Notre Dame Preparatory School, Class of 2027 -  guard that is strong and has a penchant for scoring in bunches. Is a physical player at his position that is able to use his physicality as an asset, especially when going up for rebounds. Has a penchant for obtaining rebounds while in the low post.

 

Issa Sawadogo 6-7, Forward, Monsignor Scanlan High School, Class of 2026 - A forward that has the ability to be a force for his team in the low post. Has a penchant for outworking or outmaneuvering the opposition when it comes to obtaining rebounds and for going up for two. Uses his physicality in the post and is able to draw fouls efficiently.

 

Heathe’ro Healings 6-3, Shooting Guard, Monsignor Scanlan High School, Class of 2027 - A guard that has the ability to have stick with his man defensively and obtain steals and can turn defense into offense with the quickness. Has the ability to drive to the basket and can finish at the the hole. Is very athletic, as he go up and draw fouls and get to the free-throw line.

 

James Augustine 6-6, Forward, Stony Brook School, Class of 2026 - A forward that is very active when he is in the low post and is able to his presence for his team on both ends of the court. On the defensive end, he is able to attack the glass for a rebound and is able to block shots. On the offensive end, he is a dominant force, as he is able to finish at the rim, and has superb athleticism.

 

Orlando Morris 6-0, Shooting Guard, Stony Brook School, Class of 2026 - A guard that has the ability to make his presence felt with his scoring. Has a penchant for using his quickness to get to the basket. Has the ability to finish strong when going to the basket. Also has a nice shooting touch from three-point range or from mid-range.

 

Jeremiah Coty, 5-11, Point Guard, Stony Brook School, Class of 2027 - A guard that has the ability to make crucial shots in crucial moments. Is very fearless when he’s driving to the lane and can finish through contact and get to the free-throw line. Has excellent court vision, as he is able to distribute the ball to his teammates and put them in position to score.
