2026 NY Gauchos 16u Player Profiles
The New York Gauchos Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball program offers youth in New York City the highest quality athletic programming, academic support and enrichment, and opportunities for lifelong success. Their goals are to produce athletes who can play basketball at the highest competitive levels, and to cultivate strong students and well-rounded citizens. Since 1967, the internationally-recognized New York Gauchos have operated under the stewardship of Teamwork Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit located in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. Each year they provide approximately 300 student athletes with an elite travel team experience, academic enrichment, and educational opportunities. Their home is the iconic the Gauchos Gym in the Bronx.
The Gauchos have a 16u boys team in 2025 that is competing in the New Balance P32 League. The team is coached by former Westchester Community College coach, Ty Mushatt. The team’s players are profiled as below.
