In 2025, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club named Kenny Satterfield Director of Basketball Operations. Satterfield’s own journey began on the courts of Castle Hill (Bronx) and Kips Bay (Manhattan). His drive and talent propelled him to a collegiate career at the University of Cincinnati, followed by the NBA and professional play overseas. For the past several years, he has dedicated his time to coaching at the youth level, sharing his expertise and inspiring the next generation of players. He has been instrumental in leading the Kips Bay Mustangs 5th through 8th grade AAU teams as well as 15u/16u/17u high school teams. His vision is to serve a wide range of young athletes from elite travel programs to local development teams.
The 2026 Kips Bay 17u team is coached by Eric “Knubbs” Santiago. Santiago got his start in coaching in 2017 with “Almighty Mighty Force, a small program based out of Queens. Coach Knubbs also started his own Nonprofit Organization Called “New Jack Elite”. He also helped bring summer hoops back to his North East section of the Bronx with a tournament called “Summer Madness” that he started with a mentor, the now deceased co-commissioner Willis “Booda” Dixon. Along the way Coach Knubbs has been mentored by NYC greats such as Coach Rose, Coach Book, Charlton Clarke and most recently Kenny Satterfield. Knubbs has been with Kips Bay going on four years now. Helping lead them to a 8th grade SIM championship appearance, and followed that up with a 15u MADE Hoops championship, coaching along-side Satterfield. That team was spearheaded by Anderson Diaz and Dillon Karim. Currently Knubbs is the top assistant coach and recruiter at Truman High where he has helped turn that program around in just two season with Head Coach Mike Goodwin.

(Clicking on the player’s highlighted name pulls up his profile)
Ameer Odede (2026) 6’4, 185lb small forward, Evander Childs High - Odede is a Swiss Army Knife wing. Does all the dirty work. Rebounds the hell out of the ball even against taller defenders. Can knock down the 18ft with consistency also has added the 3 ball to his arsenal.
Mohamed Fofana (2026) 5’10, 150lb point guard, Wings Academy - Fofana is the team’s anchor to set the ship straight when things are going haywire. Fofana is a heady player who led Evander Childs to a City Final Four, prior to transferring to Wings for his senior year. Fofana is a crafty PG who can shoot the 3 ball and is a sneaky defender who gets his hands on a lot of deflections. Fofana is looking for a JuCo to take him off the board.
Damien Green (2026) 6’0, 165lb guard, Harry S Truman High - Green has basketball DNA, he is the eldest son of Von Damien Green, former LaSalle High star and Manhattan College standout. Damien, although a senior, is one of the younger players on the team, a high academic student athlete who’s looking to do a year of prep after a stellar season at Truman High. He was a big contributor to their NY State Elite 8 team. Green is a steady defender, and he is usually matched up against the opponent’s best offensive guard. High gpa 1350 SAT
Aiden Johnson (2027) 6’4, 185lb guard, Harry S Truman High - A true work horse, a stretch wing. Johnson loves to rebound and bang. He is also a more than capable 3pt shooter. Johnson was a double-double machine this year at Truman, averaging 16 and 12. He is a key piece returning from the 15us group that won the Made Hoops title two years ago under Coach Satterfield. Johnson is primed for a big summer.
Nathaniel Lewis (2027) 6’3, 177lb guard, Dewitt Clinton High - Lewis has sneaky athletic ability and is a more than average 3pt shooter. He uses his size to get paint touches where he finishes around the rim. He rebounds well for a big guard. Look out for Lewis this summer as he continues to make a name for himself. He already drew notice in a write-up from the Hoop Group 1st Session for his 15pts performance Vs Metro United off the bench.
Cameron Santiago (2027) 5’5, 152lb point guard, Harry S Truman High - Santiago is a feisty, high IQ PG. He is at his best being a pest defensively and making the other teams guards work for everything. He is undersized but makes up for it with heart and determination. He is a low-turnover guard who’s knocking down the 3ball at a better clip since the high school season ended where he battled thru injuries.
Michael Glover Jr. (2027) 6’3, 156lb, South Bronx Prep - The son of former sIona Star Mike Glover, and the apple didsn’t fall far from the tree for Mike Jr. He is an uber athlete and has yet to reach his full potential. Solid mid-range game but he is at his best getting down hill and attacking the rim with thunderous dunks and acrobatic finishes. Glover has started to add the long ball to his arsenal as well.
Jaeden Pagan (2027) 5’9, 144lb, point guard, Newburgh Free Academy - Pagan is the heart and soul of this group. A fiery PG who is great in the PnR and shoots the 3 ball at a high clip. This lefty guard plays with his heart on his sleeve and is a more than willing defender and pest. Pagan is poised for a bigger summer and even better senior year.
