2026 Peach Jam Top Performers

This past week of July 17, we made the trip to the Riverview Park Activities Center in North Augusta, South Carolina for the Nike EYBL Peach Jam and Peach Invitational, a dual event for teams in the Nike EYBL that would conclude EYBL play for the summer.

Three teams in the New York area, the New York Rens, the New York Lightning and the PSA Cardinals all competed in front of college coaches as a way to obtain a collegiate scholarship. Throughout the week, the PSA Cardinals 17u’s went 3-2 in pool play, but didn’t make it out. The New York Rens went also went 3-2 in pool play and then went all the way to the quarterfinals. The New York Lightning finished 4-3 in the Peach Invitational. The PSA Cardinals 16u’s, although a talented team, finished 1-4.

Here are the standouts from this past week’s action.

Micah Gordon 6-0, Point Guard, Spire Academy (OH), PSA Cardinals 17U, Class of 2027 - A guard that has the ability to take over games with his scoring ability. Has a penchant for finding his teammates when they’re open on the wing or on the fast break. Has the ability for getting his shot off from long range and also from mid-range and can drive to the basket and finish efficiently.

Moussa Kamissoko 6-8, Forward, Long Island Lutheran High School, PSA Cardinals 17U, Class of 2027 - A forward that has plenty of size and has plenty of versatility on the wing. Has a penchant for putting on the ball on the floor and has the ability to crash the boards for rebounds. Has the ability to make his presence felt when going to the basket, as he shows his athleticism when going to the rim.

Joel Patrick, 6-10, Forward, St. Joseph High School (NJ), PSA Cardinals 17U, Class of 2028 - A forward who is a dominant force when in the post area. Has the ability to block shots on the defensive end and can attack the boards for rebounds. Has a penchant for holding his own on the offensive end as he is able to terrorize the rim on the offensive end and muscle his way to the basket when going to the hole.

Josh Charlot 5-11, Point Guard, Cushing Academy (MA), New York Rens 17U, Class of 2028 - A guard that has plenty of speed and is the engine for his team at all times. Has the ability to stick with his man on the defensive end and can obtain steals. Has a penchant for driving to the basket and finishing efficiently in the lane. Has the ability to distribute the ball to his teammates when the opportunity presents itself.

Troy Fason, Jr. 5-11, Point Guard, DME Academy (FL), New York Rens, Class of 2027 - A guard that has the ability to make big plays whenever he’s on the court. Has the ability to make his presence felt on the offensive end and can get his shot off from three-point range consistently. Is able to get steals on defense and can turn it into a fast-break opportunity and can drive to the basket with ease.

Sha-Cure Grant 6-7, Forward, Mount Zion Prep Academy (MD), New York Rens 17U, Class of 2027 - A forward that is a physical force that has the ability to hold his own on both ends of the court in the paint. Is able to finish efficiently in the post when on the offensive end, as he is able to back down his counterpart and make a layup or finish at the rim. Is able to obtain blocks and can also crash the boards for rebounds.

Judah Bontemps 6-2, Point Guard, St. James Academy is (MD), New York Lightning 17U, Class of 2027 - A guard that has great court vision and is able to be a true playmaker for his team. Has a penchant for using his speed when on the offensive end. Has the ability to distribute the ball to his teammates when they’re open and can also make shots when the opportunity presents itself.

Gaoussou Samake 6-8, Forward, Christ the King High School, New York Lightning 17U, Class of 2028 - A forward that has the ability to make his presence felt in the low post. Is able to attack the glass for rebounds and is able to put his physicality to good use. Has the ability to finish at the basket when going up for a layup.

Josue Manya 6-8, Forward, Our Saviour Lutheran High School, New York Lightning 17U, Class of 2028 - A forward that is a great defensive presence that is able to be anchor for his team. Has the penchant for attacking the glass and is a good shot blocker for his team. Has the ability to finish efficiently when going up for two.

Malik Moore 6-3, Shooting Guard, Union Catholic High School (NJ), PSA Cardinals 16U, Class of 2028 - A guard that has the ability to be a playmaker and has excellent court vision, as he can see the floor. Has the ability to drive to the basket and is a true finisher, as he is able to create for himself off the dribble. Has a nice shooting touch, as he is able to hit a jumper from mid-range.

Kevin Wheatley, Jr. 6-7, Forward, Masters Academy International (MA), PSA Cardinals 16U, Class of 2028 - A forward that has the ability to be skilled and has the ability to showcase his versatility when on the court. Has the ability to get to the boards for rebounds and is able to stick with his man on the defensive end. Has the ability to be a force on the offensive end as he is able to attack the basket and can finish efficiently at the rim.
