2026-27 South Kent School College Prospects
South Kent School is an all male boarding school, founded in 1924 and located in Litchfield County, CT. Over the years, Its basketball program has been very prolific in producing high level college prospects.
Once again, in 2025-26, the program will field two college prospect laden teams. The Prep team competes in the highest level of college prep ball in the New England Basketball League. The Prep team also competes in the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class AAA division. The Prep Team is coached by Craig Carter
The second team, aka the “Developmental Team” also plays a full schedule of college prospect laden opponents. It is coached by the highly regarded skills trainer, Steven Johnston. The Developmental Team will also plays in a college prospect laden conference, the New England Independent Prep League.

Uriah Augare-Deal (2027) 6’7 small forward - A post grad from New Hope Academy (MD), Augare-Deal is an intriguing tweener wing forward who immediately pops with his lengthy frame and versatile skillset, he impresses with his unique guard skills and the rare fluidity he possesses at his size— comfortability handling the basketball in the open floor to start and finish the break paired with his court vision and instinctual passing feel in transition to find open teammate, spot up perimeter shooting ability. All while excelling at doing the dirty work that a prospect of his size is traditionally tasked with doing— activity in the paint as an interior finisher and effort and energy to win battles on the boards. Plays club ball Team Vito Goats-MHC.
Andrew Cocoran (2027) 6’5 wing - 2025-26 All Pennsylvania Independent School Fourth Team from Bishop Shanahan High (PA). One of the breakout seniors in Pennsylvania District 1 this season, Corcoran has splashed onto the radar with his smooth perimeter skillset. The lanky wing guard stepped into a go-to scoring role at Shanahan for the first time and thrived under the spotlight, showing a polished skillset built around a sweet shooting stroke from the perimeter. A younger senior coming off a bit of a breakout year. Took a D1 visit to Manhattan. Plays club ball with East Coast Cyclones.
Eliezer Delbrey (2027) 6’3 guard - 2025-26 Gatorade Rhode Island Player of the Year. 2025-26 MaxPreps Rhode Island Player of the Year. Prior to reclassing, he was #3 ranked 2026 player in Rhode Island by NERR. Delbrey, as a senior at Classical High (RI), led his squad to a 14-5 record in the regular season. He finished the year averaging 27.2 points per game, leaves Classical as the school’s all-time leading scorer, and is one of nine players in Rhode Island history to pass the 2,000-point mark for his career (2,203 to be exact). On top of his scoring, he was a tenacious defender and one of the top turnover creators in the state, showing the ability to dominate games on both ends of the floor.
Kareem Hopkins (2027) 6’7 guard- Hopkins has a good feel for the game. Lefty is a routine box score filler. He can play either on or off the ball. When he defensive rebounds he looks to push it himself. Hopkins shoots the three very well off the catch and off the dribble. He is getting better and better as a drive-and-kick creator. 4.3 gpa
Begad Ibrahim (2027) 6’4 guard - From Shenendehowa High (NY), a skilled and athletic player who plays multiple positions with high IQ and toughness. His ability to get to the rim and knock down shots makes him a tough cover. 3.6 gpa
Aidan Knight (2027) 6’1 guard - 2025 1st Team All-Conference-New Balance Dallas 16u. Knight is from Nashua, NH and is of the best defensive guards in the region and a versatile three-level scorer. Named 1st Team All-Circuit on the New Balance platform in 2025. Plays club ball with Team NSSA. 3.7 gpa Video highlights
Donavan Marshburn (2027) 6’5 guard - A post grad from Glenelg Country School (MD), where Marshburn was of the more underrated prospects in the Baltimore Metro area. 2025-26 MIAA ALL Conference. 2025-26 All Howard County First Team. 2025-26 All Baltimore Sun Second Team. Marshburn brings good positional size as a shot-maker and has versatility defensively. He is able to knock down shots from the midrange, effectively getting to his spots for pull-ups or knocking down shots off of curls or offensive rebounds. He has great balance on his jumper off of movement as Marshburn always gets his feet squared to the rim. He has also taken a huge leap in attacking closeouts. Those often translate into free throws. Grant McDuffie (2027) 6’0 point guard - From Milton, GA. McDuffie is a tough, athletic and shifty lead guard. He is a great finisher through contested drives. He also possesses good court vision and defends his area like an angry bulldog. 3.7 gpa
Zach Walker (2027) 5’11 guard - A dynamic guard who shoots with range. He has good vision, IQ and he competes. He can play either guard spot. Plays club ball with MC Elite. 3.5 gpa
Zerek Johnson (2028) 6’3 guard - From St. Raphael Academy (RI), Johnson operates as a jumbo playmaker that knows how to create scoring opportunities for himself and for his teammates. He has a big, strong frame, plays at his own speed, and shows the ability to play through contact as a driver and finisher. His ability to operate as a mismatch decision maker is a separator. Defensively, he can rebound in space and in traffic and has the ability to be a big piece on the defensive glass. Plays club ball with JH5 Elite-P32. Video highlights
Michael Parris (2029) 6’4 guard- A Top New England prospect watch list by NE Basketball Journal. 2025-26 All NEPSAC AAA Honorable Mention. 2025-26 New England Basketball League Honorable Mention. Parris is a very mature basketball player for his age. He carries himself like a veteran. He has a great jumper (NBA range) and having such a great handle with his size, at his age, is hard to find. Once he gets even stronger, this kid has a shot to be something special. Has been offered by Wagner College. Plays club ball with City Rocks-Jones EYBL 16u. 3.1 gpa Video highlights
Maddox Poulette (2028) 5’10 point guard - A talented young guard who can shoot the ball well. He is tough and competes on the court. He can play either guard spot. 3.3 gpa
Maddox Johnson (2029) 6’5 wing, South Kent School (CT) - From St. Raphael Academy (RI), Johnson has a fluid offensive game and versatility on the defensive end of the floor. He plays at his own speed with the ball in his hands, shows the ability to score out of isolations, and can operate as a creator in the half court. Defensively, he can guard a variety of positions, makes plays in passing lanes, and does a nice job of contributing on the glass. Good gpa
