The Trinity-Pawling School is an all boys boarding prep school in Dutchess County, NY, located 60 miles north of New York City. It was founded in 1907. It’s boys varsity basketball team competes in the Founders League and the and it vies to get seeded in the highly competitive post season New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class A (large school) post season tournament.


Tarik Smith is going into his sixth year at the helm of the team. Back in the day, Smith was captain of the basketball team at Tufts University where he led the Jumbos to the NCAA Elite 8 and Sweet 16 in back-to-back years.


Historically, Trinity-Pawling’s key players and those of its opponents are all prepping to play collegiate ball. This year is no different, and below we profile TP’s 2026-27 key players.

Cameron Powell-Sprulis (2027) 6’3 point guard, Trinity-Pawling School (NY) - Powell-Sprulis is a skilled point guard who uses his size well. He knocks down 3s, makes plays and finishes through contact 3.4 gpa Video highlights


William Sapione (2027) 6’5 small forward, Trinity-Pawling School - 2024-25 and 2025-26 All FCIAC Second Team for Darien High (CT). Sapione is known for his ability to score and his impact on both ends of the floor. Plays club ball with Riverside Select. 3.0 gpa


Teddy Murphy (2028) 6’0 point guard, Trinity-Pawling School (NY) - Murphy is a quick with a good handle and with range from deep.


Aaden Walters (2028) 6’1 point guard, Trinity-Pawling School (NY) - Walters is an aggressive guard who shoots with range. He gets to his spots with great handle to create for himself and others. Plays club ball with City Rocks-Jones 16u-EYBL. 


Anthony Walters (2028) 6’1 point guard, Trinity-Pawling School (NY) - Lead guard with great handle and playmaking ability. Shoots the 3 and the mid-range shot. Plays club ball with City Rocks-Jones 16u-EYBL.


Ry’Mir Williams (2028) 6’5 guard, Trinity-Pawling School (NY) - Williams is a lengthy guard who plays above the rim and is crafty with the ball. He is also very good at playing the passing lanes and turning defense into offense. Plays club ball with Cap City Scrappers. Video highlights
