Broome Street Academy Charter High School is a charter high school located in the SoHo section of New York City. Their boys’ post grad, aka “National” basketball team is head coached by Curtis Jackson (9th year) and he is assisted by Damel Carnegie (5th year). The team competes in the Charter School Scholastic Association, Empire State League and Power 5 AA conference
2026-27 Broome Street Academy National team’s college prospects are profiled below.
Mohamed Bangoura (2027) 6’7 forward - Bangoura is a tough, physical two-way player who excels as a rebounder and defender. He has a great knack for finding the basketball and consistently makes winning plays around the glass. Bangoura finishes well off the dribble and around the basket, showing a soft touch around the rim while also having the ability to knock down the three-point shot. His toughness, defensive presence, and ability to impact the game in multiple areas make him a valuable all-around player.
Sean Cullins (2027) 6’2 guard - Cullins is a crafty, high-IQ guard who excels at creating opportunities for himself and his teammates. He has the ability to break down defenders and consistently create for others, while also being a reliable three-point shooter both off the catch and off the dribble. Cullins has great hands defensively and uses his instincts to make plays on that end of the floor. A natural leader, he brings poise, toughness, and strong decision-making to every possession.
Prince Davis (2027) 6’1 guard - Davis is a high-motor, high-IQ two-way player who impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He is an excellent three-point shooter who can stretch the defense, while his defensive intensity makes him a tough matchup. Davis plays with great energy, makes smart decisions, and is an exceptional rebounder for his size. His toughness, basketball IQ, and ability to consistently make winning plays make him a valuable all-around player.
Damien Green (2027) 6’0 guard - Green is a versatile two-way guard who brings toughness and energy on both ends of the floor. He is an excellent on-ball defender who takes pride in making things difficult for his matchup. Green is a strong finisher who can score effectively with either hand around the basket, while also having the ability to knock down the three-point shot. He does a great job creating opportunities for his teammates and has the skill set to impact the game in multiple ways. High gpa
Miguel Martinez (2027) 6’6 wing - l Martinez is a high-level scorer with a versatile offensive game and a tremendous ability to create his own shot. He can knock down the three, attack the basket, and score comfortably from the mid-range. Miguel continues to get better every time he steps on the floor, and we expect a major impact from him offensively this season. Defensively, he brings great effort and toughness, using his versatility to guard positions 1–4. He is also an active rebounder and shot blocker who consistently finds ways to impact the game on both ends of the floor. 3.5 gpa
Tayvon Rich (2027) 6’4 guard - Rich is a dynamic, elite-level athlete with a high basketball IQ and an excellent feel for the game. He sees the floor extremely well and can create his own offense in a variety of ways. Rich is a high-level three-point shooter both off the catch and off the dribble, while his explosiveness and ability to get to the basket at will make him extremely difficult to keep in front. Defensively, he has great hands and takes pride in being a lockdown on-ball defender. His combination of athleticism, skill, IQ, and competitiveness makes him a major two-way threat.
