2026-27 Paramus Catholic High Player Profiles

Paramus Catholic High School is a co-educational Roman Catholic high school located in Paramus, NJ (Bergen County). Founded in 1965, it has the largest enrollment (around 1.350 students) of any Roman Catholic high school in the state of New Jersey.
The boys varsity basketball team competes in the Big North Conference. The division is brutal in that it includes other New Jersey powerhouses Bergen Catholic, DePaul Catholic, Don Bosco and St. Joseph Regional. Paramus Catholic also vies annually for a seed in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Non-Public A post-season tournament. Paramus Catholic made an impressive run to the finals of the North Non-Public A tournament this past March.
The team is coached by Tim Thomas, who is renowned as one of the best players New Jersey has ever produced. He was a three-time high school All-American at Paterson Catholic, averaging 25.3 points and 14.5 rebounds as a senior, and was ranked the No. 2 recruit in the country behind only Kobe Bryant. In his one season at Villanova, Thomas was named the Big East Rookie of the Year, All-Big East and All-Big East Tournament. Drafted seventh overall by the New Jersey Nets in 1997, Thomas spent thirteen seasons in the NBA, including two stints with the Knicks. Before Paramus Catholic, he coached at Faith Baptist High (CA)and worked with AAU programs before returning east.

#0 Elijah Smith (2027) 6’0 guard - Smith is a defense-first player. On offense, he is great off-the-ball. He can score from the perimeter and gets downhill to get to the rim. High gpa
#1 Tristan Flavien (2027) 6’2 point guard - Flavien is a very high IQ floor general. He is also a 3 level scorer and a great rebounding guard. He is a solid defender, with fast hands. Good gpa
#2 Nick Tait (2029) 6’4 - Tait is a very skilled player, with a high IQ and who can score in multiple ways. He creates mismatches all over the court. He is tracking to be a top player in his class. High gpa
#4 Kendell Philistin (2027) 6’6 forward - Philistin is a very athletic play who that runs the floor well. He is also a great slasher and can knock down the open jumper. He also rebounds well on both ends. High gpa
#5 Mohamed Diallo (2027) 6’7 - Diallo is a great defensive big. He also shoots well and finishes nicely around the rim. He is is a top rebounder as well. High gpa
# 8 Josh Spruill (2027) 6’5 small forward - Spruill is a rebounder and a defender. He plays multiple positions and plays hard all the time. He is a good shooter when left open, and he attacks the basket and gets to FT line. High gpa
#11 Yu Lyu (2028) 6’9 forward - Lyu is a big man with a guard’s skill set. He is a 3 level scorer, a great rebounder, and plays with a great basketball IQ. High gpa
#12 Galvin Roach (2028) 6’4 guard - Roach is a very skilled guard. He has a great IQ and is a 3 level scorer. Roach can create offense off the dribble for himself or for his teammates. He has fast hands and fast feet on defense and plays hard all the time. Roach also rebounds well. High gpa
#13 Brandon Brathwaite (2027) 6’5 shooting guard. Brathwaite is a D1 sized guard with a great IQ, He knows how to use picks to create shots for himself. He is also a good defensive player and a good rebounder. High gpa
#15 Evan Lewis (2028) 6’5 shooting guard. Lewis has a great basketball IQ. He is a scorer that is great off the dribble and can score in multiple ways. He is also a great defender and rebounder. High gpa
#24 Logan Wolodkowicz (2028) 6’9 forward - Wolodkowicz is a high IQ big. He is great in pick-n-roll action. He is also great in the low post, but can shoot the ball from anywhere. Wolodkowicz is a great rebounder and help side defender. High gpa
Julian Velez (2028) 6’3 guard - Velez has a great basketball IQ and plays hard. He is a great on ball defender. Velez can knock down open shots and will help rebound as part of the team’s defensive scheme. He plays his roll well. High gpa
Logan Moorehead (2028) 6’3 small forward. Moorhead plays bigger than his listed height. He is a great rebounder and can play multiple positions on the floor. He makes open shots and attacks the basket well in half court or transition offense. High gpa
