2026-27 Inwood Academy Player Profiles
Inwood Academy for Leadership is a free public charter school in Washington Heights/Inwood, northern Manhattan. Founded 2010, they educate 950+ students K–12, their first senior class graduated in 2018. InsideSchools describes it as a safe school with strong social and academic support, working to offer more for high achievers. Their mission is empowering students to become agents for change through community-focused leadership, character development, and college preparedness, built on five core values — responsibility, integrity, caring, honesty, restraint. They support alumni through college graduation or career entry.
The boys varsity basketball team, the Trailblazers compete in PSAL (Division 1A, Manhattan IV) The team had a strong 2025-26 season, going 14-0 in conference and winning the PSAL 1A Championship. The team is head coached by Justin Hornedo.
