2026-27 Hotchkiss School Player Profiles

The Hotchkiss School is a highly regarded academic, coeducational prep and boarding school in Lakeville, CT on an 827-acre campus, 50 miles west of Hartford. Founded in 1891, one of the first English-style boarding schools in the United States and an early proponent of financial aid, having accepted scholarship students since its inception. It educates roughly 600-614 students in grades 9-12 and post graduate.
Its boys varsity basketball team competes in the college prep level New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class A (large school) division and the Founders League. Their players get additional college scout exposure by also participating in the key showcases such as the Zero Gravity Prep Classic, Basketbull Hoopsfest, NYC Shooting Stars Showcase, Spauding Hoophall Classic and the NEPSAC Scholastic Live Period Showcases.
The team is coached by Joe Busacca, who at one time was one of the youngest mens college basketball head coaches in the NCAA at Curry College. The team will be looking to extend its run of excellence. Last year, they ended another season computer ranked in the nation’s Top 40. Once again, in 2026-27, the Hotchkiss roster is loaded with college bound talent as profiled below.
Alonzo Archbold (2027) 6’8, 190 lbs small forward - #7 ranked player in Connecticut by NERR. 2025-26 All NEPSAC A. 2025-26 All Founders League Second Team. For the two seasons prior to that, Archbold has been one of the top players in the New York City’s PSAL play. Averaged a 20/10 double-double. Archbold goes all-out on both ends of the floor. He can put the ball on the floor and he uses his athleticism and size to get to the rim. He is a shot blocking rim protector and strong rebounder. Has received multiple D1 offers, including Pepperdine, Loyola Chicago, Siena, Eastern Carolina, Hofstra, LeMoyne, SUNY Birmingham, Monmouth, Boston University, Holy Cross and Fairfield. Naasir “Nas” Griffin (2027) 6’6 small forward - From Bishop O’Dowd High, CA, - Griffin is an impressive athlete that finishes plays with authority around the rim. He’s quick off the floor, does a nice job of battling to keep plays alive on the glass, and has a two-way motor that stands out each time he takes the floor. He’s a threat to score in transition as he’s relentless attacking the rim. Defensively, he can protect the rim as a help-side shot blocker and shows the ability to guard up and down a lineup with his combination of mobility and strength. Projected as a college scholarship player.
Lincoln Razi (2027) 6’0 guard - A post grad from St Albans School (DC), 2025-26 All DC First Team where Razi averaged 16ppg, 5 apg, 3 rpg, 31.7 spg, shooting 39% from 3. He is a crafty scoring point guard while also being a distributor and team leader in a high octane offense. Plays club ball with VA Premier-HGSL. 3.6 gpa 34 ACT Video highlights
Milos Vasic (2027) 6’8 small forward - Vasic is a tremendous prospect that has added a silky-smooth jumper to his long frame and wingspan. He has developed into a consistent shooter and runs the floor well in transition. On the defensive end, he uses his length to stand out with his shot-altering capabilities, making it difficult for opponents to score in the paint or on the perimeter. Leo Fauver (2028) 6’7 small forward, Hotchkiss School (CT) - #8 ranked player in New England by Prep Hoops. Top New England prospect watch list by NE Basketball Journal. Fauver has a high ceiling is an athletic shooter with a very good basketball IQ. He scores it in multiple ways. Fauver plays both sides of the ball. He uses his length well on defense to disrupt and can guard 2-4. Plays club ball with Select Hoops. 3.7 gpa
Dhilan Lowman (2028) 6’2 shooting guard, Hotchkiss School (CT) - 2025 Connecticut ASFL Shooting Championship winner. From Staples High (CT) where he led them to their first league championship in 62 years. He is a knock-down shooter off a smooth pull-up shot. Plays club ball with Rens United-Smith EYCL.
Wynn Allen (2029) 6’1 guard - Both Allen brothers transferred in from Guillver Prep (FL) and both are dynamic guards who show a ton of promise. They are both elite communicators and teammates.
Max Forbes (2029) 6’5 guard - Forbes is a dynamic scorer who can fill it up at all 3 levels. Will make an immediate impact in the Hotchkiss program. Plays club ball with NY Rens-EYCL.
Markus Jones (2029) 6’4 guard, Hotchkiss School (CT). Jones is a high-level shooter and a good ball handler. He has a high ceiling. Plays club ball with New Heights NYC.
Mason Mcilwain (2029) 6’7 wing - From Youngsville, NY, Mcilwain uses his length well to grab rebounds and alter shots. He also is effective in lanes as a help defender. Plays club ball with Riverside Hawks.
Theo Pollitt (2029) 6’1 point guard - Transferred in from Ethical Culture Fieldston (NY), Pollitt is a super athletic point guard with a quick first step. Pollitt all the tools to be a successful guard in Class A ball.
Wystan Allen (2030) 5’9 point guard - Both Allen brothers transferred in from Guillver Prep (FL) and both are dynamic guards who show a ton of promise. They are both elite communicators and teammates.
Dane Elliot (2030) 6’4 guard - Elliot is a big time shooter who plays at his own pace. A 4 year guy who will make his mark every year. He is a special talent and that the Hotchkiss coaches are excited about and expecting a lot out of. Plays club ball with NY Lightning-EYBL.
