2026-27 Millbrook School Player Profiles
The Millbrook School is a coeducational, college preparatory boarding school for students in grades 9-12. It’s 800-acre campus is located in Millbrook, NY. Founded 1931 by Edward Pulling, who taught at Groton and Avon Old Farms before deciding to start his own school. The campus is located in Dutchess County, NY, 96 miles north of New York City. It educates 310 students with an average class size of 11 and a 4.1:1 student teacher ratio, which is among the lowest in the nation.
Its varsity basketball program has been on a steady rise over the past decade. Garvin McAlister was named head coach in April 2025. McAlister had been the assistant running the offense for the 20-5 squad in 2024-25. Prior to that he played at Post University, where he was named the school’s Male Athlete of the Year in 2011. McAlister’s coaching experience includes being an assistant coach at Post University, Western Connecticut State, Assumption College, Nichols College, and Connecticut College, developing several all-conference players. Immediately before getting to Millbrook, he was the Director of Basketball Operations at Dartmouth
The boys varsity basketball team competes in the seven state-wide, college prep level New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class B (mid-sized schools) division. The 2026-27 team will be featuring the players profiled below.
Edson Oliveira Da Silva (2027) 6’7, 235lbs forward - From Ocecola, FL, where he earned 2025-26 All OBC First Team honors, Da Silva has fantastic footwork around the rim, scores it with both hands and can stretch it out to the perimeter. Receiving interest from the NESCAC, Liberty, and CNE schools. 3.4 gpa Video highlights
Emile Djian (2027) 6’1 guard - Post grad from the Newman School (MA), Dijan makes impact for his team with his effort and intensity level on the defensive end of the floor. He moves well laterally, has next level quickness, and does a great job of anticipating plays as they develop on that end of the floor. Offensively, his quickness was an asset in transition as he shifted the floor off of turnovers with his ability to get out and run. He gets to the rim off the bounce, where he has some impressive finishing instincts. Plays club ball with Middlesex Magic.
Sebastian Kralik (2027) 6’3 guard - A post grad from Houston, TX, Kralik averaged 18 PPG, 9.7 RPG, and 6 APG at Awty School (TX). He is a versatile, guard who can run the offense or thrive off the ball. High gpa
Bodhi Stylman (2027) 5’10 point guard - Stylman is a post grad from Rhineback High who is a high-energy competitor and a scrappy on-ball defender. He uses his ability to knock down 3s to create advantages and open up the rest of his game.
Elliot Weisman (2027) 6’1 guard - From Burlingame, CA, a knockdown three-point shooter with a relentless motor, this player brings energy and effort every time he steps on the court. Whether it’s diving for loose balls, taking charges, or making the extra pass, he consistently finds ways to impact the game and make winning plays that don’t always show up on the stat sheet. Trevor Klug (2028) 6’5 small forward - Klug transferred in from Horseheads High (NY) with advanced skill for his size, this prospect is a confident shooter who can also put the ball on the floor and create for others. His blend of perimeter touch and playmaking makes him a versatile combo forward with sky-high potential. With a 7’0” father, there’s strong upside for continued physical growth, making his long-term ceiling especially intriguing. Plays club ball with Team Northeast-UA Rise. Video highlights
Eddie Kuzawski (2028) 6’3 wing - Kuzawski joins Millbrook School after averaging 23.4 ppg and 8.8 rpg at Oswego High. He is a high level athlete who thrives in transition, finishes above the rim and rebounds well from the guard spot. He should have immediate impact in the NEPSAC.
Derek Lugo (2029) 6’5 wing - Lugo joins the Mustangs after averaging 13.6 PPG in the prestigious Greater NYC CHSAA AA as a sophomore. He is a dynamic scorer who can heat up in a hurry from deep. He is a solid passer who can get in the lane and finish over smaller defenders. Also, a solid free throw shooter. He combines shot making ability with positional size to make him a legitimate D1 prospect. Video highlights
TiErry Smith (2030) 5’10 point guard - A lefty with a high basketball IQ, he plays with poise and purpose beyond his years. He excels at getting downhill, finishing through contact at the rim, and setting the tone defensively with his bulldog mentality. With a developing jumper and a fearless approach, he’s poised to make an immediate impact in the NEPSAC so expect to hear this kid’s name a lot when talking about Millbrook basketball in the years to come.
