Located in Mahopac, New York, in Putnam County, about 50 miles north of New York City, the Mahopac Basketball Academy (MBA) gives high-potential Hudson Valley players, from grade school up through high school, a dedicated, full-time training environment. The academy is run by directors Tom Sampogna and Jon Weisblatt. Its coaching and training staff includes Joe Munden Sr., Joe Munden Jr., Daquan Brickhouse, Ike Clark, Malachi De Souza, Truth Harris, Jordan Griffith and Mairead Hynes.

MBA’s competitive arm is its MBA Elite travel program, which plays on the NXTPRO Hoops Puma Circuit and in select events across the Northeast. Beyond the circuit, the academy runs showcase opportunities for players looking to raise their recruiting profile, and it uses its network to connect players with basketball opportunities outside Mahopac. The goal is to give local players the visibility, and the next-level opportunities, that their talent warrants.
