2026 Nassau PAL Tune Up Clinic Top Performers

On Sunday, October 25, Nassau County public high school players got a head start on the season at the Preseason Boys High School Basketball Tune-Up Clinic. The Nassau County Police Activity League sponsored the clinic, and the Basketball Coaches Association of Nassau County (BCANC) hosted it at the David S. Mack Center for Training and Intelligence in Garden City, NY.
It was a natural pairing. The Police Activity League, one of the largest in the nation, serves about 20,000 young people a year, and the coaches association runs the county’s All-County and All-Conference awards each spring. That meant the coaches running the clinic were the same ones who will be evaluating these players all winter. The large event was run smoothly, led by the large and tireless effort of Kelly Dempsey of KED Training
Players in grades 9 through 12 got three hours of work in before tryouts, with Baldwin, the six-time defending Nassau Class AAA champion, and Floral Park Memorial, the back-to-back Class A and reigning Long Island Class A champion, setting the bar for the season ahead.
