2022 CHSAA Team Camp Top Performers
On Saturday afternoon, June 25, RecruitTheBronx.com paid a visit to Iona Preparatory School in New Rochelle for the annual CHSAA Team Camp. More than 30 Catholic schools throughout New York City and Westchester County, from the AA, A and B CHSAA classifications played in front of college coaches of various levels.
These were the standouts from that afternoon:
Tai Turnage 5-10 guard, St. Raymond High, Class of 2025 - A guard that is determined to score, but will also give his teammates an opportunity to score every time down on the court. Has a nice shot on the perimeter and is not afraid of taking whatever shot he sees. Will go up for a rebound, despite his diminutive frame.
Kuba Cawalina 6-5, Forward, Archbishop Molloy High School, Class of 2023 - A forward that has good size and a nice frame and is able to impose his will, due to his frame. Has plenty of toughness and is able to obtain rebounds as a result of his competitiveness. Is very active on the court and is an asset to his teammates.
Braylan Ritvo 6-7, Forward, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2024 - A forward that is very skilled on the floor and shows off his versatility in many ways. A player that has a lot of athletic traits and will get rebounds, especially in the right moments. Has a nice jumpshot, which he uses in critical moments.
Benjamin Lyttle 6-5, Small Forward, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2023 - A forward that can play inside and out when on the court. Has a lot of toughness and makes his presence felt on the inside with his ability to absorb contact, especially when in the post area. Is great at drawing fouls when going to the hole and getting to the free throw line.
Aamyr Sullivan 5-10, Point Guard, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2024 - A guard that has a good eye on the floor and is very shifty when it comes to creating for himself off the dribble. Has a nice release off of his jumper and finds ways to score when he has opportunities. Is a player that will make sure his teammates get scoring chances as well.
Josh Pascarelli 6-2, Shooting Guard, St. Francis Preparatory High School, Class of 2023 = A guard that has a penchant for standing out every time he’s on the floor. Has superb athleticism and is a player that can score at will, especially when he drives to the hole. Has the ability to make jumpers from the perimeter and from three-point range.
Hao Chen 6-5, Shooting Guard, St. Francis Preparatory High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that can drive to the basket with ease and has plenty of versatility on the floor. When he has to, he plays like a big and will step in the paint to obtain a rebound. Brings plenty of much-needed energy to his team every time he is on the court.
Vere Anthony 6-0, Point Guard, St. Francis Preparatory High School, Class of 2025 - A guard with plenty of energy and poise on the court, as he runs his team well and is always ready to lead his team to victory. Has the ability to get past his defender with his dribble and is able to hit his teammates with a pass that could potentially lead to a basket. Loves to create for himself off the dribble and is a great defender that looks to get a steal when he’s on the defensive end.
Mitchell Wiggan 6-4, Shooting Guard, St. Edmund Preparatory High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that has the ability to play hard and is able to make his presence felt on both ends of the floor. Has a penchant for shooting from the corner and has a nice release when he’s on the floor. Has the ability to get down on the fast break and is able to finish at the basket.
Brendan Armour 6-6, Forward, St. Edmund Preparatory High School, Class of 2023 - A forward with great size and the ability to establish his presence in the post area. Has the ability to block or alter the shots of the opposition and obtain rebounds by boxing out. Has great footwork and is able to find ways to score when on the floor, as he is able to muscle his way to the basket and is a good finisher.
Juelz Dickerson 6-4, Shooting Guard, Nazareth High School, Class of 2023 - A guard that has the ability to get to the basket with ease and can create for himself off the dribble. Brings plenty of energy on the court and is a great defensive presence when on the floor, as he is prone to getting steals on the floor. Is a player that can be counted on when it comes to rising to the occasion in crucial moments.
Halon Rawlins 6-5, Shooting Guard, Nazareth High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that is able to make his presence felt in many ways on the floor. Is a great posting up the opposition and driving to the basket. When he has to, he plays big and is good at blocking shots and crashing the boards for his teammates.
