HARTFORD, CT, November 11th, 2022 –  Approximately 750 basketball enthusiasts gathered at Weaver High School in Hartford to cheer on their favorite middle and high school basketball players for the 6th annual HoopWave Basketball Showcase. The event was Run by Active City and HoopWave The emcees were Coach Shaq and Ruckee Park mic legend Mic Larry.


The showcase kicked off at 11 a.m. with a matchup between the classes of 2029 and 2030, where The Blue Team routed The Black team by 16 points.


For the Top 24 Girls game, the MVP was Kaila Richards, The Hotchkiss School with 19pts and 4rbs.

For the final game, Public v. Prep, MVP Badara Diakite of NorthWest Catholic led the public school team to victory by securing the winning basket and totaling 20 points 10rbs 2blks. Out of the three match-ups, in the history of this event, this is the second time Public has overcome Prep to take the series lead.
