Adlai E. Stevenson Educational Campus is a collection of small high schools located on Lafayette Avenue, in the Soundview section of the Bronx. The high schools on the Stevenson Campus are Bronx Community High School, Bronx Guild, Gateway School for Environmental Research and Technology, Millennium Art Academy, Pablo Neruda Academy for Architecture and World Studies, School for Community Research and Learning and Bronx Compass.

 

Its boys varsity basketball team competes in the PSAL AAAA Manhattan/Bronx conference. They are led by their Athletic Director and Dean James Mohr who is in his sixth year at the helm.

 

The profiles on Coach Mohr’s key 2023-24 players are as follows:

 

Ahmed Cisse-(2024) 6’4 guard - Cisse, a transfer in from the CHSAA’s All Hallows High, can score at all 3 levels. He has great court vision and is capable of running the point if need be. He is an excellent shot blocker and rebounder, and can defend all five positions. Cisse is a senior leader who is willing to do whatever necessary to win. A triple double waiting to happen.

 

Tristan Burth (2024) 6’8 forward - Burth is excellent with his back to the basket on offense. He also has the ability to square up and attack off the dribble. He is one of the PSAL’s leading rebounders.  He is also a facilitator on offense and is capable of a triple double on any given night. Anchors the defense by clogging up the middle and blocking/altering shots.

 

Justin Delapaz (2025) 5’11 guard - Delapaz is extremely accurate from 3. He leads league in 3 point FGs made. He is also crafty with the ball and able to get in the lane off the dribble. He makes the Stevenson offense go.

 

Dishon Herrera (2024) 6’6 wing - Herrera has great length and a quick first step, which enables him to beat defenders off the dribble. He is very efficient in rising above defenders and finishing in traffic. He is more than capable as a catch-and-shoot guy, who shoots a high 3 FG %.  Defensively, he is is able to both rebound and block shots at a high rate.

 

Jormy Polo De Los Santos (2024) 6’4 forward - Polo De Los Santos has excellent size and mass which makes him a force in the paint as a defensive/rebounding specialist.

 

Theirry Negoue (2024) 6’0 guard - Negoue is a catch and shoot guard with excellent foot speed on defense.

 

Mekhi Bedford (2024) 6’0 guard - Bedford is a sharpshooter with bounce. He has the ability to knock down big shots and defend multiple positions.
