ProScholars Athletics is a nationally renown grass roots basketball program, based in New York City. Their main objective is to use team sports as platforms to not only showcase their student’s athletic gifts but to expose them to greater social and academic opportunities that ensure they can succeed at the collegiate level. In doing so, they aim to break this cycle of poverty by creating cohorts of student athletes that can flourish in institutions of higher learning, graduate debt free (or close to it). The basketball program has been directed since 2008 by author and coach Terrance “Munch” Williams, and their teams play under the name PSA Cardinals.

2024 PSA Cardinals 15u team is coached by Antwan Harris and Gustave Koumare, and their roster is as follows:

Judah Bontemps (2027) 5’10 point guard, Christ the King High - Bontemps is a strong on-ball defender. On offense, he is a creator off of a tight handle with great floor vision and feel for the game.

TJ Allen (2027) 6’0 point guard, St Sebastian’s School (MA) - Averaged 13, 4 and 2 as a freshman playing varsity this past winter in one of the nation’s toughest leagues, NEPSAC Class A. He can shake defenders with deception, quickness, agility and a very tight handle. Fun to watch as a drive-n-dish play maker. All NEPSAC Honorable Mention as a freshman.

Anthony Mauro (2027)  6’1 point guard, College Achieve Charter High (NJ) - Mauro has a mature game, makes the right reads and has underrated athleticism. He also has a tight handle, which he uses to beat his man and finish. He has a good shooting stroke and discipline. He finds his open teammates in transition.

Johnny Magna (2027)  6’2 guard, Christ the King High - Magna has been a “plays-up” prodigy for some time now. He is unruffled against older defenders, and finds the right teammate. He can score the ball when that is the call. Competes.

Eli Colon (2027)  6’2 guard, St Peter’s Prep (NJ) - A standout at the Hoop Group Future All-American Camp. Colon is a smooth athlete, with a textbook shot. He is the X factor for this squad. Plays a mature, do-it-all game in an effortless looking fashion.

Elijah Guer (2027) 6’4 guard, The Patrick School (NJ) -  Guer is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. Heis electric in the open floor as he uses his combination of speed and handle to get by his defender. Guer finishes in a number of ways around the basket and does not mind drawing contact. He is a solid passer and defender.

Ray Fernandez (2027) 6’5 shooting guard, Iona Prep - Fernandez was impactful as a freshman in the CHSAA varsity playoffs. He is one of the top shooters in the NorthEast. He also has some wiggle so when his three ball shot is challenged, he can counter with a mid-range stop-n-pop. He moves without the ball like someone who should be getting it.

Andrew Iduh (2027) 6’7 forward, Arts High School (NJ) - Iduh is a physical low-post presence who can finish. He is a high-motor rebounder, relentless on both ends of the floor. He works to protect the rim, with aggressive weak-side rotation and shot blocking.

Moussa Kamisoko (2027) 6’8 small forward, Trinity Pawling School (NY) - A versatile guard with NBA length. Kamisoko has a great handle and feel for the game. He gets into the lane and finishes above the rim with different moves. He can also knock down the three. He has the potential to build himself into a national Top 50 player.

Vander Eberhard (2027) 6’8 forward, Christ The King High - Despite being a freshman, Eberhard played tough as a big man in CHSAA ball this past winter season. He plays hard and controls the glass. He is possibly the most athletic guy on this team.

Ziyi Xiong (2027) 6’11 small forward, George School (PA) - Xiong played center in his native China, before arriving in the States last year. Now that he is here, his ability to handle the ball, move well for his size and shoot it has him on a trajectory to be a wing at the highest level of play. He also shows great coachability, basketball IQ, and can rebound.

Julius Kimani (2027) 7’2 center, Montverde Academy (FL) - Immersion training at Montverde is paying off for this young Brit. He has good hands, keeps the ball high, and is developing a right hook as his go-to move. He is engaged on the defensive end, and uses his length to rim protect and rebound.

Peter Uzgiris (2027) 7’0 center, St Lukes School (CT) - (currently injured). A young, but NBA-sized big, who has good hands in the post, a developing inside game and can hit a standstill 3 balls.  He sets heavy screens, and sucks in a lot of help defenders due to his threatening post presence. 4.0 gpa
