2024 CHSAA Team Camp Top Performers

This past weekend, June 28 and 29, we joined the college coach migration to Iona Preparatory School out in New Rochelle for the annual Catholic High School Athletic Association Team Camp, in which all 31 Catholic schools within the five boroughs of New York City and Westchester County all competed, as an audition for a chance at a college scholarship. Here are the standouts from the event:
Halon Rawlins 6-6, Forward, Nazareth High School, Class of 2025 - A forward that is strong and agile and is able to do plenty of things on the floor. Is able to put the ball on the floor and get past defenders to glide to the basket. Is a good finisher when going to the basket. Has great hands, as he is able to obtain rebounds and block shots.
Kaiden Francis 6-8, Forward, Nazareth High School, Class of 2025 - A forward that has the ability to be a great presence on both ends of the court. Is a great shot-blocker and uses his athleticism to obtain rebounds. Has a penchant for finishing strong in the paint area and can also step out and shoot midrange jumpers.
Adonis Ratliff 6-9, Forward, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2027 - A forward that has plenty of length and is a great presence on both ends of the floor. On the defensive end, he is able to use his length to stymie the shots of the opposition and can outwork the opposition for rebounds.
Joshua Rivera 6-7, Shooting Guard, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2027 - A guard that has plenty of size, but is able to put the ball on the floor and can give his team plenty of energy when on the floor. Has a nice shooting touch from three-point range. Is very active on the boards and is able to find ways to get open for a shot.
Jasiah Jarvis 6-5, Shooting Guard, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that is able to score in bunches and is able to dominate whenever the opportunity presents itself. Is a high-volume shooter and is able to hit shots from three-point range. Is a very athletic player who can get to the rim.
Mike Cunningham 6-7, Forward, Kennedy Catholic High School, Class of 2025 - A forward that is able to make his presence felt in the low post and finds ways to make his presence felt on both ends of the court. Use his physicality to muscle his way to the basket. Is able to post up against the opposition and finish efficiently, while getting to the free-throw line.
Devin Webb 6-5, Forward, Kennedy Catholic High School, Class of 2025 - A forward that is very mobile and shows plenty of versatility when on the court. Has the ability to make strong moves to the basket and is a good finisher when in transition. Is able to hold his own on the boards and obtain rebounds.
Juan Lao 5-7, Point Guard, Kennedy Catholic High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has a penchant for holding down the reins of the offense and is a true floor general when on the court. Is able to speed up or slow down the tempo when on the offensive end. Knows when to attack or drive to the basket. Is a solid defender that can obtain steals.
Dylon Stanley 6-6, Forward, Holy Cross High School, Class of 2025 - A forward that is able to make his presence felt with his size and has plenty of strength. Has a penchant for obtaining rebounds and blocking shots when on the defensive end. Is able to finish at the basket and is able to draw fouls to get to the free throw line.
Troy Fason, Jr. 6-0, Point Guard, St. Francis Preparatory High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that has a penchant for making smooth moves to the basket and getting everybody involved in the office. Has a penchant for finding his teammates when they are open on the break. Has the ability to shoot mid-range and long-range jumpers.
Ethan Butler 6-6, Shooting Guard, St. Francis Preparatory High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that has a penchant for making strong drives to the basket and is able to find multiple ways to get the ball on offense. Has a penchant for driving to the basket and is a solid finisher. Is able to move around off the ball and can shoot from long range.
Josh Powell 6-5, Shooting Guard, Archbishop Molloy High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that is able to hold his own on the offensive end, especially when defenses are able to key on him. Likes to drive into the lane and is able to absorb contact, which can lead to trips to the free-throw line. Has a penchant for shooting from long range.
MJ Ford 5-11, Shooting Guard, St. Peter’s High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has the ability to be one of the focal points of the offense, as he is a true threat when he has the ball in his hands. Is able to get to the basket easily and is able to finish strong. Is able to attack in transition and is able to bring his team plenty of energy when he is on the floor.
Jomar Fuentes 6-1, Shooting Guard, St. Raymond High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that is able to hold his own when on the court, as he is able to find ways to get open when on the court. Has a penchant for shooting from long range when he is in the corner. Is able to bring a lot of energy to his team, as well as defense.
Anderson Diaz 6-1, Point Guard, St. Raymond High School, Class of 2027 - A guard that is a true leader of his team at all times when on the court. Is able to speed up or slow down the tempo when the team is on the offensive end. Is able to distribute the ball to his teammates and can find them when they’re open. Uses his quickness to his advantage when driving down court.
Kamari Whyte 6-5, Shooting Guard, St. Raymond High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that has plenty of size, length and toughness when ont he court. Is able to match up or post up against his defender and can drive to the basket and finish in transition. Is able to move around off the ball and find ways to get open, whether it’s going towards the basket or on the three-point line.
Cameron Ziegler 6-0, Point Guard, Christ the King High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has the ability to make his presence felt in the backcourt at all times, due to his quickness. Uses blinding speed to get to the basket and finishes efficiently. Has a penchhant for getting his teammates involved at all times, as he is able to give them the ball when they’re open.
Jayden Mercado 5-9, Point Guard, Sacred Heart High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has excellent court vision and knows how to control his team’s offense. Is able to slow down the tempo or speed it up depending on the flow of the game. Has a penchant for distributing the ball to his teammates in the right moments and is able to flash to the basket and finish efficiently.
Lucas Morillo 6-6, Shooting Guard, Iona Preparatory School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has plenty of size and is a very dominant offensive player. Has the ability to get his shot off efficiently and has a nice release on his jumper. Is able to drive to the basket and is able to make strong finishes when scoring.
Johnny Keenan 5-11, Point Guard, Iona Preparatory School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has the abilitty to see the floor and is able to make great decisions with the ball at all times. Is able to get his shot off when going up to shoot from long range or when driving to the basket. Is a great facilitator, as he is able to help teammates with opportunities to score.
