Lincoln Park Summer Classic Top Performers

On Wednesday night, August 14, RecruitTheBronx.com paid a visit to Lincoln Park in New Rochelle, New York, for championship day at the Lincoln Park Summer Classic, a tournament that showcases some of the best high school programs in Westchester County and New York City. In the 15u division, Mount St. Michael, comprised of their incoming freshmen class and a sophomore transfer suited up against the Wiz Kids. In the varsity (high school division) championship games, DeWitt Clinton played against the hometown team, New Rochelle. Below are the standouts from the title games:


Shane Lopez 5-11, Point Guard, Mount St. Michael Academy, Class of 2028 - A guard that has plenty of court vision and is able to be a great facilitator when it comes to distributing the ball to his teammates. Is able to use his speed to his advantage when going to the opposite end of the court. Has a penchant for shooting from three-point range.


Matty Santiago 6-0, Shooting Guard, Mount St. Michael Academy, Class of 2028 - A guard that has the ability to be a playmaker when he’s on the court and also a huge offensive threat for his team. Has the ability to get to the basket with ease and is a great finisher. Has the ability to crash the boards and will get downcourt easily. Is known for having a penchant for shooting three-pointers.


Supreme Hinton 6-3, Shooting Guard, Mount St. Michael Academy, Class of 2028 - A guard that is known for showcasing his athleticism on both ends of the court. Is a fearless player that will go all-out for the ball, whether it is for a steal or for a rebound. Is a great finisher when going to the basket. Is also a great defensive player, which he uses to his advantage when it comes to obtaining steals.


Kayleeb George, 6-5, Small Forward, Mount St. Michael Academy, Class of 2027 - A small forward with plenty of length, as he is a great defensive stopper for his team. Is able to block shots in transition and is able to obtain rebounds for his team at all times. Has the ability to power up and finish at the rim.


Akeem McLaren 6-1, Point Guard, Monsignor Scanlan High School, Wiz Kids, Class of 2028 - A guard that has the ability to be a floor general. Is a pass-first guard that looks to set up his teammates for passes at all times. Is able to get past the opposition and create for himself own the offensive end and shoot from mid-range or long-range. Is able to drive to the basket and finish efficiently.


Souleymane Kone 6-1, Shooting Guard, Cardinal Hayes High School, Wiz Kids, Class of 2028 - A guard that has the ability to be an offensive threat at all times. Is a very crafty guard that is able to create for himself and is able to attack in transition. Has the ability to hit pull-up jumpers and can finish efficiently when going to the basket.


Kion Danso 5-10, Point Guard, DeWitt Clinton High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that has the ability to see the floor and can attack in transition at all times. Is able to be a great playmaker and is able to distribute the ball to his teammates when they’re driving to the basket or are open and anticipating a pass.


Josiah Davis 6-5, Small Forward, DeWitt Clinton High School, Class of 2026 - A small forward that is able to hold his own at the three and provides much needed energy for his team. Is able to use his strength when he is at the boards and will get down court with ease. Is a very athletic player that can finish at the rim. Will step outside and shoot from long range.


Anthony Durant 5-10, Shooting Guard, DeWitt Clinton High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that has a very smooth game and is able to control the tempo of the game for his team. Is able to shoot mid-range jumpers and is able to slice and dice his way to the basket. Has the ability to find his teammates and give them passes that can lead to baskets.


Malik Gasper 6-8, Forward, New Rochelle High School, Class of 2025 - A forward that has the ability to make his presence felt on the floor for his teammates. Has great size and length and is able to put the ball on the floor and move around the floor efficiently. Is able to drive to the basket and finish strong. Is able to attack the glass for rebounds and then drive down court.


Sean Thomas 6-4, Shooting Guard, New Rochelle High School, Class of 2025 - A guard that has plenty of size and length and gives plenty of energy to his team on both ends of the court. Has the ability to shoot from three-point range and is a great defensive player, who aims to obtain steals from the opposition. Is known for coming off of picks and rolls and is able to drive to the basket. Can be a mismatch problem for smaller players.
