Lawrence Woodmere Academy 2024-25 Player Profiles

Lawrence Woodmere Academy is an independent school located in Woodmere, NY a hamlet in Nassau County, Long Island. It is accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools and the New York State Board of Regents. The history of the Academy began with the founding of Lawrence Country Day School in 1891 and Woodmere Academy in 1912. The institutions merged in 1990.
For the 2024-25 season, the school will be running three college prospect-loaded boys basketball teams, Post Grad team, Varsity-Blue and Varsity White. This Fall, the program will be hosting a schedule of Fall Open Gym runs for college scouts to attend.
The Post Grad team will play in the newly formed Empire 8 Prep League. It is head coached by John Pettaway and his assistant Dalmorlie Williamson and their players are as below.
Caleb Andigue (2025) 6’8 forward - Andigue has good touch as a back-to-the-basket scorer. He can also step out and shoot the 3. His long and athletic frame makes him a solid defender. Rim protection and rebounding are his major strengths. Good free throw shooter.Plays AAU with Wiz Kids.

Adam Jefferies (2025) 5’8 point guard - Jefferies is a shifty and agile point guard who sees the floor very well. While he is first most focused on winning and creating for his teammates, he is not shy to step up and take the big shot as needed. Plays AAU with Team Underrated. 3.4 gpa

The Varsity White team is head coached by Hank Williams, Sr and his assistants Brandon Williams and Dominique Williams and their players are as below.
Hank Williams Jr. (2027) 6’2 point guard - 2023-24 PSAA Tournament MVP as a freshman. Has a freshman’s physique, but a senior’s game. Don’t let this guy get hot, Williams is known for his quick release ability to shoot the ball from deep. Averaged 19 ppg as a freshman. But what he should be known for is his ability to defend. He makes it difficult for opposing guards, and he uses his voice when off-the-ball. Williams is a gym rat who is committed to adding new layers to his game. He is a coach’s son who inherited great leadership and understanding of the game which is on display every time he’s on the floor. 3.7 gpa

Nick Anson (2026) 6’1 guard - Anson is a downhill bully who is capable of finishing through contact with either hand. He has the foot speed to cover the perimeter and the strength and audacity to step inside the bully his way around the interior making him a primetime defender. Plays AAU with Rising Stars. 3.2 gpa
Sylvanus “S1” Tabe (2026) 6’8 forward - 2023-24 PSAA Regular Season MVP as a sophomore. D1 body as a HS sophomore. Hide your lunch money when you see this bully on the block. Tabe is a shot blocking, basketball dunking, screen setting monster. Thriving as a rim protector and rebounder due to his gifted jumping ability and paint presence, he also has a budding offensive game. With great footwork, Tabe is working on post-game and adding a 10-15 foot jump shot, making him a must watch prospect. 3.6 gpa

Caleb Ourigou (2026) 6’11 forward - Ourigou is trending toward becoming a High Major big. He already holds an offer from St John’s. He is big, strong and agile and very strong. He can score in the paint, including an unguardable hook shot. Defensively, he is a great presence on the interior. He blocks and intimidates shots near the rim, and he sucks in rebounds from a wide area. Plays AAU with Rising Stars.
Josh Smith (2026) 6’2 guard - Smith is an extension of the coaching staff on the floor. A true floor general who excels at dictating the pace of the game and making reads on the fly. Josh is a 3-level scorer who finds his offense through his ability to keep his teammates involved. Plays AAU with Rising Stars. 3.7 gpa

Dylan Cudjoe (2026) 6’7 forward - Cudjoe is a super athletic rim protector that thrives at blocking shots and put-back dunks. He is a lob threat and is also a capable jump shooter with now improved mechanics. He plays to his strengths as a two way player and is scratching the surface with his potential. He can handle the ball well enough to start the break and advance the ball. He can also play out the post and iso in given situations. He won a Nassau County championship at Baldwin High last winter season. Plays AAU with Level Up LI. 3.2 gpa
Julian Desir (2026) 6’6 wing - With his ability to get off the floor quickly and proficiency around the rim. Desir is a high-end open-floor finisher. He’s developed ambidextrous finishing around the rim and a has a dependable mid-range jumper. He’s able to make authoritative blocks around the rim, an aspect of his game that was noteworthy last season. Plays AAU with New York Gauchos
Anderson “Shifty” Diaz (2027) 6’1 point guard - Diaz is a rising star, gaining increasing national recognition and High Major interest for his impressive performances. As a crafty lefty, he utilizes his unique skill set to outmaneuver defenders and create scoring opportunities. His smooth scoring ability allows him to excel both inside and beyond the arc. Has received multiple D1 offers, including Villanova, Seton Hall, Fordham and Cincinnati. Plays AAU with Kips Bay Athletics
Florbert Kuminga (2028) 6’6 swing - The younger brother of Golden State Warriors forward Johnathan Kuminga, Flory has similar upside at the same stage. A versatile wing at 6-foot-6 with a smooth jumper and advanced ball handling skills for his age, it’s easy to see a future where Kuminga continues to track as one of the best players in the class of 2028.
Dior Legore (2026) 6’2 shooting guard - Legore has plenty of moves on the floor and is also known for shooting from long range. He is able to drive into the lane efficiently and is a good finisher. As part of that, he is also good at getting to the free-throw line. Defensively, he is great at sticking with his man and is able to block shots.

Kaleb Popotte (2026) 6’1 guard - Popotte is an extremely quick guard with the ball, and he has an excellent handle and court vision. He is hard to stay in front of as he changes speed and direction really well. He gets into the lane and scores with his floaters. Plays AAU with Wiz Kids
