2025 Super Saturday Showdown Top Performers

On Saturday, February 8, we got to the Hynes Athletic Center on the campus of Iona University in New Rochelle for the Super Saturday Showdown event. It’s a high profile game hosted by Iona Preparatory School, featuring the second matchup between Westchester County’s finest Catholic school programs, Archbishop Stepinac and Iona Prep. It proved to be a close game throughout, but the Stepinac Crusaders would win 59-48, completing a regular-season sweep. Below are the standouts from the game.


Ray Fernandez 6-4, Shooting Guard, Iona Preparatory School, Class of 2027 - A guard that is able to create opportunities for himself to score, as he is great for anticipating the ball and getting open around the corners. Will crash the boards in order to obtain rebounds and will put the ball on the floor & drive to the basket, where he is a good finisher. Is a deadly shooter, especially from long range.


Dillon Callahan 6-4, Shooting Guard, Iona Preparatory School, Class of 2027 - A guard that is also known for being an inside presence on the floor for his team. Is able to attack the glass to obtain rebounds and is very athletic on the offensive end and can finish when going to the rim. Is also able to shoot mid-range or long-range jumpers.


Joe Wolf 6-2, Shooting Guard, Iona Preparatory School, Class of 2026 - A guard that is able to do many things on the offensive end. Is able to attack in transition and is known for shooting at a high volume. Is always able to make hustle plays and can distribute the ball to his teammates in position to score. Is able to drive to the basket and finish.


Nate Shillingford 6-4, Forward, Iona Preparatory School, Class of 2025 - A guard that is able to make his presence felt on the floor in many ways. Is able to play big, as he is able to outwork the opposition when it comes to obtaining the opposition for rebounds. Has a nice shooting touch and will be able to hit long-range jumpers.


Mike Kmetz 6-3, Point Guard, Iona Preparatory School, Class of 2027 - A guard that has a knack for scoring and making clutch baskets during crucial moments. Likes to drive to the basket and finish or shoot from long range. Has the potential to distribute the ball to his teammates at all times.


Adonis Ratliff 6-9, Forward, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2026 - A forward with a long wingspan that has a penchant for being an enforcer on the defensive end, as he is able to block shots and obtain rebounds. When on the offensive end, he is prone to taking shots from the top of the key and is able to make long jumpers. When the lane Is open, he is prone to throwing down powerful dunks at the rim.


Danny Carbuccia 6-2, Point Guard, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2025 - (UMASS University commit) - A guard that has the ability to shoot at a high volume and is able to break down offenses off the dribble. Has the ability to get to the basket with ease and is able to get to the free-throw line easily. Has the ability to find teammates and put them in position to score.


Jasiah Jervis 6-5, Shooting Guard, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that has the ability to be a dominant scorer when in the lane. Has a penchant for making big plays, as he is able to drive to the basket and shooting from mid-range. Is able to run well down the floor and is able to get himself open in the right areas and is superb when using his athleticism.


Hassan Kouriessi 6-5, Shooting Guard, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2026 - A guard that has the ability to make his presence felt on both ends of the court. Is able to showcase his athleticism when going to the basket and is also great at obtaining rebounds. Is able to finish efficiently when go the hole to score.


Dylan Perry 6-7, Forward, Archbishop Stepinac High School, Class of 2026 - A forward that is an inside presence and is able to outmuscle the opposition when in the post area, especially when it comes to obtaining rebounds. Is fearless when going to the basket and is a great finisher at the basket and when throwing down dunks. Is always finding ways to draw fouls and get to the free-throw line.
