2025 4A PSAL Semifinals Top Performers

On Saturday, March 8, we made it to the Maurice Fitzgerald Gymnasium on the campus of Queens College in Flushing, Queens for the PSAL 4A semifinals. The winners of each game will be playing in the championship game on Thursday, March 13th at Carnesecca Arena on the campus of St. John’s University in Jamaica, Queens. In the first matchup, Eagle Academy I defeated Canarsie and then in the second matchup, Thomas Jefferson Campus defeated Thurgood Marshall Academy. Below are the standouts for the semifinals.

 

CJ Dorreliand 6-4, Forward, Eagle Academy I, Class of 2025 - A forward that is able to be versatile and mobile when in the post area. Is able to put the ball on the floor and is able to drive to the basket. Is known for showcasing athleticism on both ends of the court, especially when it comes to playing above the rim.


RJ Walker 6-0, Point Guard, Eagle Academy I, Class of 2025 - A guard that has plenty of quickness and is known for his ability to shoot from long range. Is able to find ways to get free when he doesn’t have the ball in his hands and is always ready to anticipate the ball when he’s open, so that he can get his shot off from the corner. Is able to distribute the ball to his teammates and put them in positions to score.


Jordan Randolph 6-4, Forward, Eagle Academy I, Class of 2025 - A forward that has plenty of energy and has the ability to make great plays when on the floor. Is an explosive player that is known for getting to the basket and can create for himself off the dribble. Has a penchant for obtaining rebounds and exerting physicality even when going up for two.


Giovanni Moran 6-0, Shooting Guard, Eagle Academy I, Class of 2027 - A guard that is known for being a huge assset for his team when he is on the court. Is a great defender that is known for obtaining steals and can attack in transition on the offensive end. Has a penchant for shooting threes, especially when being left open on the wing or from the top of the perimeter.


Devin Clark 6-7, Forward, Canarsie Educational Campus, Class of 2026 - A forward that is mobile and is able to use his skills to his advantage. Is able to step out from the post and can shoot from the perimeter or from the top of the key. Has excellent footwork, which aids in him moving well around the post area. Is a dominant force in the low post area on both ends of the floor, as he is known for obtaining rebounds and scoring in the paint.


PJ Singleton 6-6, Shooting Guard, Canarsie Educational Campus, Class of 2026 - A guard that has the ability to use his skills efficiently and is a versatile player on the court. Is able to shoot from three-point range or the top of the key when needed. Is able to create for himself off the dribble and is able to get to the basket with a quick first step.


Xavier Francis 6-3, Shooting Guard, Canarsie Educational Campus, Class of 2025 - A guard that is very crafty when on the court and is able to score in multiple ways. Is a player that provides his team with plenty of energy on the court. Has a penchant for playing tough defense and is able to obtain blocks or obtain steals. Is able to drive to the basket and is a good finisher when going to the hole.


Malachi Wilson 5-8, Point Guard, Thomas Jefferson Educational Campus, Class of 2025 - A guard that has plenty of quickness in his game and is able to give his team a lot of grit and can make big plays on the court. Has the ability to obtain steals and can find ways to attack the basket and finish strong when going up for two. Is able to give his teammates the ball when the opportunity presents itself.


Connor Sprattley 6-0, Shooting Guard, Thomas Jefferson Educational Campus, Class of 2025 - A guard that has the ability to be a big-time scorer when he’s on the floor. Is able to break defenses down with his ability to drive to the basket and finish efficiently. Has a penchant for hitting jumpers when the opportunity presents itself. Is a player that is difficult to contain, due to his craftiness.


Jah’da Swann 6-6, Forward, Thomas Jefferson Educational Campus, Class of 2026 - A forward that has plenty of strength and can play multiple positions when he’s on the floor. Has superb athleticism, which he uses on the defensive end to obtain blocks and rebounds and also on the other end, as he likes to play above the rim. Has the ability to shoot a midrange jumper.


AbdouAkim Mazou-Tahirou 6-10, Forward, Thurgood Marshall Academy, Class of 2025 - A forward that has the ability to do many things when on the floor. Has a long wingspan and is able to hold his own in the post area. Has a penchant for attacking the glass and blocking shots on the defensive end. Has the ability to finish strong when going to the basket.
