2025 Eddie Lau Elite 17u Player Profiles

Eddie Lau is a former college player, college coach and NBA agent. He is also the very successful varsity head coach at Murry Bergtraum High School in Manhattan. In the off season, he runs his Eddie Lau Academy, which includes running AAU teams. Below are the player profiles for the college prospects on his 17u team:
Jayden Lau (2027) 6’3 point guard, Lawrenceville School - NYC Prospects PSAL Class of 2027 1st Team. NY State Writers Association All State, AA Tenth Team. Lau plays with a high IQ and runs a team like a coach’s son. He can score at all 3 levels, and averages 5 rebounds per game. Has received a slew of D1 offers. 3.8 gpa
John Magna Jr. (2027) 6’4 guard, Christ the King High - Magna is a high IQ combo guard. He is positionally long and athletic. He has both a nice mid-range game and can finish around the rim. Magna has already made a big splash and has racked up high major offers as a sophomore. He has a polished 3-point range and can create space with elusiveness off the dribble. 3.7 gpa
Jordan King (2026) 6’6 wing, The Knox School - King can play the 3 or the 4 positions. He is long, athletic and very skilled. He has the ability to score from all three levels. He put together a solid junior year. His size, shot IQ, defensive versatility and handle are all the makings of a D1 prospect. 3.5 gpa
Tristian Burth (2025) 6’9 forward, Bridgeport Prep (CT) Class 2025 - 2024-25 All Power 5 AAA Second Team from that conference’s very high level of prep school play. Burth is an old school warrior in the paint. He has very good post moves and can face up and shoot the 12 footer or drive by his defender. 3.0 gpa
Stra Zelic (2028) 7’0 forward, Christ the King High - From Serbia, Zelic is very skilled and high IQ big. He runs like a deer. He can play inside and out, including shooting the 3 ball. His size and skill combination creates mismatches. Has a D1 offer as a freshman from East Carolina
Vuk Zelic (2027) 6’7 wing, Christ the King High - Stra’s older brother. Plays for the Serbian National Team. He has great size as shooter and can really light it up. In addition to being a knock down three point shooter, he also uses his craftiness IQ to get into the paint and make plays.
Aiden Taylor (2026) 6’4 wing, Broome St. Academy - He is very athletic and can really get to the rim.
Christian Hinestroza (2026) 6’1 guard, Xaverian High - Hinestroza is a 2 guard that has a good feel for the game. He can create for himself and others. He rebounds well for his size.
