2025 Academic Basketball Club 17u Player Profiles

The Academic Basketball Club is a Fairfield (CT) and Westchester (NY) County grassroots program focused on working with student athletes with a minimum gpa of 3.0. The program has earned renown for its impressive consistently high level of placement of its layers into top academic universities. ABC plays in tournaments throughout the Northeast, encourages its players to attend selected camps at the top academic universities and then plays as a Team at the Academic Basketball Camps at Babson College (MA) in and Pomona College (CA) in July.
The program was founded by Harvey Rubin. He and his long term coaching partner, Paul Krumins each run teams each spring, including a “National” team that pulls student athletes in from across the nation. The program has a terrific following of high academic colleges, due to their decades long consistency of fielding teams of high academic, high character and high talent players. #1 Quinn Sheehy (2026) 6’4 wing, Brunswick School (CT) - Sheehy is emerging as a high level player. His ability to shoot the ball and guard different positions makes him a promising option on the court. He plays with energy and poise. #10 Brody Wesenyak (2026) 6’6 wing, Ossining High - Wesenyak is a versatile wing who brings a complete game on both ends of the floor. He’s an unselfish playmaker with a smooth shooting stroke and the ability to stretch the floor, while also taking pride in being a lockdown perimeter defender. #15 Harry Alper (2026) 6’2 shooting guard, Riverdale Country School - Alper is a very good shooter and was the best shooter on the RCS team. Nolan Weathers (2026) 6’1 point guard, Riverdale Country School -Weathers is the Riverdale team captain. He’s played varsity there since he was a freshman, and is a 3yr starter. He is a tough competitor who plays on both ends of the floor. He gets to the rim, creates plays for teammates, and knocks down shots at all levels. But it’s his defense really sets him apart; he takes pride in locking up the opposing team’s best player and is the best defender in the Ivy Prep League. Whether it’s shutting down players, efficiently scoring, or forcing turnovers, he always makes the right play and brings intensity every time he steps on the court.

Connor Robinson (2026) 6’5 wing, Brunswick School (CT) - Led the Brunswick in +/- this past season, scoring 11ppg with 3 off. rpg. He shot 67% from two-point range while consistently competing against players bigger than him. Ultimate competitor with a relentless will to win. Robinson is the consummate team player with a knack for finding the ball anywhere on the court. He is an excellent offensive rebounder and plays with a level of energy and effort that is rarely seen. He is an elite screen-setter and is consistently active on both sides of the ball. His ability to stretch the floor from the 3-point line and push the ball up the court off the glass has college coaches interested. #5 Caden Quigley (2026) 6’4 shooting guard, Fairfield Warde High (CT) -Quigley is a tenacious and relentless defender that truly runs the floor in both directions. On the offensive side of the ball Quigley is able to demonstrate his elite shooting ability and footwork, a constant threat at all three levels of scoring. Quigley uses his IQ to his advantage, allowing him to fit into any system of offense/defense. 4.6 gpa Video highlights
#10 Jack Nally (2026) 6’7 forward, Greens Farms Academy (CT) - Nally is a long, athletic wing that can shoot from beyond the arc and attack the basket from multiple angles. He competes on both ends of the floor and never backs down from a challenge. His defensive toughness and defensive prowess are impressive for his size. His jumping ability helps him protect the rim while also cleaning up on the glass at both ends of the floor. Loves the game and the grind. 3.8 gpa 1470 SAT Video highlights
#15 Scottie Conopask (2026) 6’4 guard, St Thomas More School (CT) - Conopask’s shooting ability and IQ have been on display in the NEPSAC for 3 years now. He has now has added weight room strength and has his game ready to compete at the highest level. Ruthless, crafty scorer. Outstanding finisher from both sides. Unlimited range. Quick off the dribble, he creates scoring chances for himself and teammates. Shows strong rebounding instincts and defends multiple positions effectively.
