2025-26 Iona Prep Player Profiles

Iona Prepatory School is a Catholic community focused on developing young men into moral and ethical leaders who are dedicated to Christian service and who strive for spiritual, intellectual and physical excellence. Iona Prep sports teams compete in the highly competitive New York City Catholic High School Athletic Association, AA Division.
In its history, Iona Prep has won New York Catholic State Championships in 2009 and 2012, and City Championships in 1998, 2002, 2009, and 2012, along with several league titles. The team is head coached by Tim Philp back for his third year at the helm. Its Coach Philip’s third stint as a coach in the CHSAA; he compiled a 311-161 career record in the league as a coach for Archbishop Stepinac and Cardinal Hayes.

James ‘JT’ Lindi (2026) 6’2 point guard - True point guard who thrives in organized chaos. A coach on the floor with excellent court vision, vocal leadership, and relentless effort. Controls pace, makes others better, and competes on both ends. Physical defender who anticipates and dictates tempo. High-IQ and team-first. Plays grassroots ball with Rens United. 3.3 gpa
Joe Wolf (2026) 6’3 guard - Wolf is able to do many things on the offensive end; he attacks in transition, drives to the basket and finishes, and he shoots at a high volume. He makes hustle plays and distributes the ball to his teammates in position to score. Plays grassroots ball with Rens United.
Chase Graham (2027) 6’0 point guard - Graham is a super shifty lefty with a high IQ. He advances the ball up court and always finds the open man and makes everyone around him better. He is also a good shooter. Plays grassroots ball with City Rocks
Elijah Joseph (2027) 6’9 forward - A raw offensive talent but has the size tpo be impactful on the game. He moves well and plays with energy. This helps him be a strong rim protector and leading rebounder. Plays grassroots ball with NY Rens. Video highlights
Mike Kmetz (2027) 6’3 small forward - Kmetz is a well built guard with a grinder mentality. He swoops in for put backs, and he blankets his man defensively. His hustle and proficient play is a spark for his team. Plays grassroots ball with NY Gauchos. Good gpa Video highlights
Chase Robinson (2027) 6’1 guard - Robinson is blessed with a great sense of timing, agility and a 36 inch vertical leap. He is a left-handed player who excels in attacking the hoop. As a defender, he gets the responsibility of defending the opponent’s best player and hounding him for the full court. He generates offense for his teammates with his aggressive defense and intense play. He is capable of generating intense, tone setting energy. Plays grassroots ball with Wiz Kids.
Joshua Simmons (2027) 6’7 forward - The big man is a factor on the glass and has good hands when catching the ball already. He’s still raw offensively, but shows flashes of being a good rebounder and rim defender. Plays grassroots ball with NY Gauchos.
Tommy Wolf (2027) 6’4 small forward - Wolf can make shots and plays in a variety of ways to help his team. Spotting up and firing or spotting up and attacking a close out is where Wolf is strong at. Wolf can and will attack a close out and pull up for a mid-range jumper. He’ll also attack the gaps and find an open teammate if help decides to step up.
Baylor Lapin (2028) 5’8 point guard - A sharp-shooting guard with deep range and a scorer’s mentality. Lapin spreads the floor and plays with confidence, constantly moving without the ball and knocking down shots under pressure. Plays grassroots ball with NY Gauchos.
Dilen Mulaj (2028) 6’9, 350lb forward - A potential Power 4 football recruit. Mulaj is a big strong body with great hands. He does a great job getting open in the paint and is very good passer from the paint.
TyGee Mushatt Jr. (2028) 6’0 point guard - A combo guard with strong ball-handling skills and scoring ability. Mushatt can run the offense or create his own shot, and his aggressive style keeps defenses on their heels. Plays grassroots ball with NY Gauchos.
Michael O’Meara (2028) 6’6 forward - A strong and skilled forward who plays both inside and out. O’Meara offers matchup versatility, using his size and touch to score in a variety of ways while also defending multiple positions. Plays grassroots ball with NY Gauchos.
