2025 Select Hoops Player Profiles

Select Hoops is in its third year as a program based out of NYC. They offer year round training and highly competitive basketball programming for all ages from 9-18 years old. SLT Hoops, led by its Founder and Director, Noah Griffith is a program based on their moniker of “US, WE, TOGETHER, FAMILY”. As a family-based program, they look to develop, train, EDUCATE, and empower their student athletes. SLT Hoops Elite teams are in the NXTPro Puma Circuit for 2026-2029 high level student athletes. Interested coaches can reach out to Noah Griffith at ngriffith@slthoops.org where a full coaches’ packet will be provided to all coaches. All student athletes below have over 3.3 gpas.

 

The 17u team is coached by Prince Reina and Andrew Anderson, and their players are as shown below.


Drew Diaz (2026) 6’2 guard, Mount St. Michael Academy - Diaz is an all around player with a high basketball IQ. He can play either guard spot, making the right reads. He is a high level and efficient shooter.  4.3 gpa


Amare Snipes (2026) 6’1 guard, Cardinal Hayes High. - Snipes is an all around player with a high basketball IQ. He is a lefty that is versatile and a good shooter.


Dempsey Gonya (2026) 6’4 small forward, St. Ann’s School - Gonya is a high IQ player who makes the right reads. He is a high level and efficient shooter.


Nate Howell (2026) 6’3 guard, Kent School (CT) - Howell has good size, quick on his feet and is an efficient shooter. He is physical enough to guard 1-4.


Troy Smith (2026) 6’0 guard, Nazareth High - Smith is a crafty scoring guard, who gets it done at all 3 levels.


Roshaun McCallum (2026) 5’11 guard, Nazareth Regional High - McCallum is a defensively well-rounded guard, who understands correct rotations. He is also an efficient 3 & D student athlete.


Malik Adoyi (2026) 6’8 forward, Earl Monroe Renaisance High - Adoyi rebounds at an efficient rate. He is an athletic big who runs the floor well. Defensively, he is a impactful presence in the paint.


Jayden Thomas (2026) 6’4 wing, South Bronx Prep - Thomas is athletic and attacks downhill. He also has a solid jumper. He is physical defender who can guard 1-4.


Jequise “JQ” Febres (2026) 6’1 point guard, JFK Campus - Febres is a crafty guard, with an improved jumper, and a smart basketball IQ.


Lorenzo Rodriguez (2026) 5’8 point guard, Long Island City - Rodriguez is a hustling, defensive-minded guard.

 

 


The 16u team is coached by Rory Plunkett and Anthony Meija, and their players are as shown below.


Issac Calix (2027) 5’10 point guard, Stevenson High - Calix is a quick lefty who runs the floor well. His abilities are a nightmare for opposing transition defenses.


Timmy Leahy (2027) 6’2 guard, Xavier High - Leahy is a smart, high IQ shooter.


Maverick Cristello (2027) 6’5 small forward, Holy Cross High - Cristello is an efficient shooter, uses his body well to guard positions 2-4. Has an inside out game that offensively makes him very versatile.


Kalen Murphy (2027) 6’3 guard, Brandeis High - - Murphy is a bigger body who rebounds the ball at a solid rate. He can defend 3 and 4. Offensively, he can finish from 10-15 feet in.


Londyn Hill (2027) 6’1 point guard, Fordham Prep - Hill is a bigger point guard, who efficiently runs an offense. He makes the right reads and has a team-first mentality player. He plays the right way


Kenji Elkins (2027) 5’11 point guard, St. John the Baptist High - Elkins is a scorer. Defensively, he uses his positional length and works very well in transition.


Alex Thiery (2027) 6’0 guard, Kent School (CT) - Thiery is a shooter that also runs the point very well.3.7 gpa


Jayden Lee (2027) 6’3 wing, Brandeis High - Lee is mostly a perimeter-centric player, but can also finish in the paint as well.

 

 


The 15u team is coached by Kamal Simmons and Jerome Ward III, and their players are as shown below.


Cassius McDowell (2028) 6’0 guard, Monsignor Scanlan High - McDowell is an all-around combo guard. He is defensively very sound. A crafty finisher and overall can score on all three levels.


Jerome Ward IV (2028) 5’11 point guard, Mt. Zion Prep (MD) - Ward is an all-around good player, who makes the right reads offensively at the point. Defensively, he knows where to be and has a strong feel for the game. He is a solid shooter. 3.7 gpa


Leo Fauver (2028) 6’6 wing, Hotchkiss School (CT) - Fauver is an athletic shooter with a very good basketball IQ. He plays both sides of the ball. He uses his length well on defense to disrupt and can guard 2-4.  3.7 gpa


Matthew Machado (2028) 5’11 point guard, Archbishop Molloy High - Machado is an efficient shooter, and he makes the right reads offensively. He is a pass-first point guard. 3.5 gpa


Christian Baptiste (2028) 5’10 point guard, Holy Cross High - Baptiste is a defensive-minded guard. He is incredibly quick and has a good IQ.


Tyrell Ashby (2028) 5’10 guard, Thomas Jefferson High - Ashby is an efficient scorer.


Sean Orellana (2028) 5’10 guard, Cardinal Spellman High - Orellana is a shooter and fits the 3&D description.


Patrick Cadesti (2028) 6’4 wing - Cadesti is athletic.


Takai Williams (2028) 5’9 point guard, Brooklyn Latin High - Williams is a smaller guard that makes the right reads on both ends of the court. He is a solid shooter.


JJ Washington (2028) 6’3 wing - Washington is athletic.
