Team NYC is a nationally respected grassroots basketball program founded by veteran coach Donald Francois, who brings over 20 years of experience in coaching and player development. Coach Francois has coached at St. Mary’s, Long Island Lutheran, and currently serves as an assistant varsity coach at Archbishop Molloy, one of NYC’s most historic basketball institutions.


Team NYC has helped develop and place numerous players at the Division I, Division II, and professional levels. The program competes year-round in top national circuits such as Puma, Made Hoops, and Hoop Group, and is built on a foundation of structure, discipline, and long-term development.


In addition to its success on the national stage, Team NYC also has a strong international presence in the Caribbean, Europe, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, expanding players’ exposure and experience beyond U.S. borders. Team NYC continues to be a trusted platform for athletes looking to grow through elite competition, mentorship, and academic accountability.

 


Some of the 2025 Team NYC 16u–Puma key players are as follows:


Syncere Ferguson (2027) 6’4 forward, Archbishop Molloy High - A physical power forward who brings strength, toughness, and energy to the paint. Ferguson rebounds at a high level, protects the rim, and sets the tone with his physical presence inside. 3.6 gpa

 

Nakayi Bing (2027) 6’3 small forward, Archbishop Molloy High -A long, skilled player who impacts the game on both ends. Bing finishes strong around the rim, defends multiple positions, and brings great effort each game. 3.8 gpa


Damien Castellanos (2027) 5’9 point guard, Archbishop Molloy High - A smart, steady guard who runs the offense with maturity and poise. Castellanos makes smart reads, controls tempo, and brings leadership to the backcourt.  3.9 gpa


Ahdan McFadden (2027) 6’1 guard, Archbishop Molloy High - McFadden is a versatile and composed guard with a high ceiling. He plays under control, mkes smart decisions and impacts the game in multiple ways. His ability to handle pressure, contribute on both ends and read the floor well makes him one of the program’s top long-term prospects.  3.6 gpa

 

EJ Patterson (2027) 6’6 wing, St. Mary’s High - An athletic and aggressive wing who contributes across the board. Patterson defends, rebounds, and finishes strong in transition. A key piece on both ends of the floor.


Terrence Belizaire (2027) 6’5 guard, Xaverian High - A high-motor two-guard with elite physical tools and a bright future. Belizaire can score at all three levels, defend top matchups, and lead through impact. One of the top rising prospects in the program.


Carter Smith (2027) 5’7 guard, Jefferson High - A crafty guard with a smooth handle and deep shooting range. Smith creates plays for himself and others and competes with toughness every time he’s on the floor.


Simar Singh (2027) 6’5 forward, Valley Stream Central High - A gritty, physical wing who brings toughness to the lineup. Singh is a strong rebounder and defender who embraces his role and consistently makes winning plays.


Aaron Kelly (2027) 6’2 guard, Elmont High - A two-way guard who consistently makes an impact. Kelly defends, rebounds, and plays with high energy. His ability to contribute on both ends makes him a vital part of the rotation.


Kelvin McDowell (2027) 6’2 guard, Lawrence Woodmere Academy - An aggressive guard who attacks the basket and brings energy on defense. McDowell plays with confidence and intensity, providing a spark off the bench.


Sean John (2027) 6’1 guard, Lawrence Woodmere Academy - A composed and efficient guard who brings balance to the backcourt. John shoots the ball well, makes unselfish plays, and stays poised under pressure.

 


Some of the 2025 Team NYC 15u–Puma key players are as follows: 


Travis Burnett (2028) 6’5 forward, Notre Dame-Fairfield High (CT) – A long and athletic forward who brings versatility on both ends of the floor. Burnett defends, rebounds, and finishes strong around the rim. A valuable inside presence and energy guy. 3.2 gpa


Andrew Koumoullos (2028) 6’4 wing, Archbishop Molloy High – A skilled and composed wing who can score at all three levels. Koumoullos consistently creates matchup problems with his size, shooting ability, and basketball IQ. 3.8 gpa


Danny O’Connell (2028) 6’0 point guard, Archbishop Molloy High – The team’s floor general. O’Connell controls the tempo, delivers the ball in the right spots, and stretches the floor with his reliable shooting. A true leader who elevates the team. 3.2 gpa


Josh Vasquez (2028) 6’1 guard, Archbishop Molloy High – A confident scorer with a smooth, controlled game. Vasquez spaces the floor and consistently knocks down shots from deep. A key offensive weapon with great touch and vision. 3.8 gpa


Joseph Rodriquez (2028) 6’0 guard, Archbishop Molloy High – A sharpshooter with a smooth release and high shooting percentage. Vasquez helps stretch defenses and open up the offense with his consistency from the perimeter. A reliable weapon from beyond the arc. 3.7 gpa


Evan Maingrette (2028) 6’1 guard, Archbishop Molloy High – A high-motor forward who leads the team in rebounding. Evan brings toughness, hustle, and effort, doing all the little things that don’t show up in the box score. A glue guy who impacts the game in every way. 3.9 gpa


Nathaniel Kowalski (2028) 5’7 point guard, Archbishop Molloy High – A poised and steady point guard who thrives in running the offense and making the right decisions. Nathaniel has great court vision, controls the tempo, and sets up his teammates while staying aggressive when it’s time to score. A true floor leader with a team-first mentality.  3.8 gpa


Sejai Morgan (2028) 5’7 point guard – Notre Dame-Fairfield (CT) - A quick, high-IQ guard and defensive specialist. Morgan excels at staying in front of his man, applying full-court pressure, and disrupting opposing backcourts. Offensively, he gets to the rim with ease, makes smart reads, and plays with a mature understanding of the game. His future at the next level is very bright. 3.5 gpa


Chase Gooden (2028) 6’5 forward, Archbishop Molloy High - A strong, wide-bodied freshman with tremendous upside. Gooden takes up space in the paint, alters shots, and controls the boards. With continued development, his combination of size and physical presence makes him a high-potential frontcourt player to watch.
